Having captured what he believed to be a Decepticon spy disguised as Optimus Prime (but was in fact the real deal) Ultra Magnus had the "impostor" shackled with energy restraints and ordered the Wreckers to execute him. He was interrupted by Outback, who tried to talk him out of it and then deactivated Prime's energy restraints with some kind of scrambler before throwing a gas particle bomb towards the Wreckers, allowing the two of them to escape in the confusion.
