Scrapface is a Decepticon from the War for Cybertron Trilogy portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
WHY DON'T YOU GO BACK WHERE YOU CAME FROM?!

Scrapface is just another Decepticon foot soldier who is itching to fight the Autobots on the frontlines.<ref name="walmart">Walmart USA product description for Scrapface</ref> Unfortunately, many other Decepticons see him as easy pickings, or worse, an expendable source for some quick energon, something completely instigated by Shockwave's dark deceptions.

This turn of events has left poor 'ol Scrapface to question who his true enemies are, and his disgust for the treatment of low-level Decepticons leads to his respect for those who treat them with any decency, which surprisingly includes Autobot major Elita-1.

He was also presumably at the back of the line on naming day.

Scrapface was among the many Decepticons imprisoned by Shockwave's forces. Selected by a pair of Seekers to be moved to "the arena", Scrapface pleaded that he was not supposed to go there because he was a loyal Decepticon. The pair was quickly shot dead by a team of Autobots led by Elita-1, who implored Scrapface and the other Decepticons to escape. Earthrise episode 1

Following the Autobots' capture, Scrapface led the freed Decepticons to rescue them, feeling like he owed them for saving his life. They all escaped the arena and formed an alliance between the Autobots and renegade Decepticons to save their fellow Cybertronians from the mercy of Megatron and Shockwave. Earthrise episode 2 Scrapface accompanied the Autobot Rebels to their base, and complained of his lack of energon. The group was forced to take cover when a Seeker patrol flew over. Scrapface was concerned that they still hunted them, but Elita simply told him they would never stop, and the would just get used to it. When they had to take cover again, Scrapface advocated attacking the seekers hunting them. His stand gave away the teams psotion, forcing them to destroy all the seekers before they could report back to Shockwave. Scrapface was then warned by Elita that if he wished to stay with them, he would have to obey orders. Arriving at the theatre, Scrapface was amazed at the care the Decepticons received. Later, Scrapface bore witness to Shockwave's planet wide broadcast, ordering all Decepticons to journey to Kaon arena. Knowing that the mad scientists true plan was to drain his own factional allies of energon, Scrapface strengthened his alligence to the resistance, promising to work to bring down Shoxkwave once and for all..Earthrise episode 3

Scrapface accompanies his allies on the mission to kaon arena, waiting out side while Elita-1 travels into the arena to plant the explosives. They soon learn Megatron is no longer on Cybertron, and Scrapface and the rest of the team are attacked by Decepticons serving Shockwave, comeplete with their own cloaking devices. Scrapface and the rest of the team are captured, and Spinister opts to take them to the arena and bring them before Shockwave for harvest. Scrapface tries to warn Spinister that they had set explosives, but the Decepticon remains unaware that they are on a timer, believing theiir was nobody to activate them. The team is suddenly saved by Chromia, thought dead, who attacks the Decepticons at a distance, and Skytread, though he is shot dead anyway. Scrapface, alongside the rest of the team, runs for kaon arena, only for the explosives to suddenly go off, destroying the entire area and killing them all. Earthrise episode 6}}

When the AllSpark was returned to the Temple of the Allspark on Cybertron by Bumblebee, Scrapface (or a Refraktor) was among the Transformers spirits who witnessed Elita-1 strike down Galvatron and Nemesis Prime before finally reuniting with the Allspark. Kingdom episode 6

Hey Scrapface! Why dontcha blow it out your ear.
  • Scrapface (Deluxe Class, 2020)
    • TakaraTomy ID number: WFC-05
    • TakaraTomy release date: November 28, 2020
    • Accessories: blaster/tripod part, shield/lens part, chest module
Part of the first assortment of toys promoting the Siege season of the Netflix War for Cybertron Trilogy cartoon, Scrapface is a blue and red redeco of Siege Refraktor, transforming into a Cybertronian "artillery hovercraft".<ref name=seibertron>https://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/siege-red-alert-revealed-stock-photos-for-nycc-siege-figures-design-notes-from-warden-nycc/42180/</ref> Scrapface is molded almost entirely in shades of grey plastic with his splashes of colour being an extensive paint wash; this gives him the appearance of being covered in accumulated grime and battle scars, though it leaves most of his lower-legs and backside a show-inaccurate grey. He has multiple 5 mm ports and 3 mm posts to accommodate weaponry and "Fire Blast" effects, as part of the C.O.M.B.A.T. System. Scrapface includes a blaster and shield that can be attached in multiple ways thanks to a pair of perpendicular 5 mm posts.
As with any version of this mold, Scrapface, although undocumented in the instructions, can also transform into one-third of a camera, allowing buyers to combine three units into Reflector's classic camera mode (good luck with getting three, though!). The shield becomes one-third of a telephoto lens, while his blaster becomes one-third of a tripod. The chest module can also inaccurately attach to his torso in robot mode or camera mode, or store on his butt.
The military insignia on Scrapface's box has him as a Ground Division Infantry Raider, while his instructions place him in the Espionage unit like his Refraktor mold-mates. A similar mix-up error was present in the concurrent Voyager Class Hotlink instructions and box.
Stock renders have more show-accurate blue lower legs, face scratches, and chest battle damage, suggesting a late change on the final toy.
This toy, like all of the Netflix War for Cybertron Trilogy toys, is a Walmart exclusive in the U.S. and Canada, and a TakaraTomy Mall exclusive in Japan.
Scrapface was repurposed as an Angolmois-corrupted form of Reflector in Generations Selects Special Comic.

Notes

  • Similar to Spy-Eye, Scrapface coincidentally resembles a Starscream-based animation error of Reflector from the G1 episode "More than Meets the Eye, Part 2".
  • According to the toy's product description on Walmart's USA website, Scrapface is a clone of Refraktor,<ref name="walmart" /> justtifying why the two share a body-type.
  • Despite debuting in the Siege-adjacent War for Cybertron Trilogy wave of toys, Scrapface did not appear until the Earthrise chapter of the cartoon.
  • The character in the cartoon uses none of the toy's accessories, opting for the "HPI Null-Ray Laser Launcher" as his sole weapon.

Foreign names

  • Japanese: Scrapface (スクラップフェイス Sukurappufeisu)
