* It is believed that Snakebomb was one of the all-white gumball machine Beastformers released, but no samples have been found so far.
* As he was not sold in the post-''Transformers'' sequel series and thus had no bio card, his "RPG"-era bio comes from the ''[[Hero Special 4: Beastformers]]'' book. This bio gives him the nickname "'''Bomb'''" (ボム ''Bomu'').
* The "Sabeler" part of his weapon's name is kinda nonsense, but the Dutch spelling "sabel" for "saber" is the root for the Japanese word サーベル, and "Saberer" looks worse and the weapon is a halberd/poleax anyway so shrug emoji.

This article is about the evil Beastformer. For his female mirrorverse counterpart, see Snakebomb (SG).
Snakebomb is a Beastformer from the Generation 1 continuity family.
Yeah, I sssure do like tasssting METAL all the time. Thanksss, jerk.

One of the sneakiest beings on planet Beast, Snakebomb[1] (スネークボム Sunēkubomu) has quite a sordid past. He traveled planet Beast as a merchant, but was embroiled in a number of nasty dealings. His photographic memory helped him remember who'd done him wrong, and his incredibly pliable body allowed him to sneak into secure places easily. And when working with his childhood friend Drillfrog, the two made a very effective guerilla warfare ad sabotage unit, which drew Alligatron to recruit them for his rebellion.

Following the Great War, Snakebomb has turned over a new leaf. He remembers the places he went, and sought to learn more about them, their history and geography. He now serves a dual role both as the Emperor of Barāki under King Drillfrog, and as an educator, teaching other beasts about their world and encouraging them to make it a better place.

His MVP Weapon, the Bomb Sabeler (ボムサーベラー Bomu Sāberā), is capable of flight with a proper charge, and has excellent midair maneuverability. He can use it both to strike targets from afar, and to fly himself by holding onto it.

Sometimes there are lots of him.

Fiction

The Headmasters cartoon

Voice actor: Ryōichi Tanaka (Japanese)
Onccce a maaannnnn...

The Snakebombs were part of the faction of Beastformers that allied with the Decepticon invaders. During an attack by the rebel Beastformers on the Decepticon stronghold, a Snakebomb leapt out of the nearby river and tried to drag a Yellow Giraffe into the water, only to be driven away by Golder.

A Snakebomb spied the Autobot Transformers who had just arrived and reported to the leader Alligatron, who in turn reported the news to Galvatron.

A Snakebomb spotted Daniel and Wheelie, who were following a monkey Beastformer child, and alerted his comrades to the intruder. The two were captured and Snakebombs were among the Beastformers who held the two hostage. One Snakebomb, along with a Black Turtle, brought the two to the factory manufacturing a component for Scorponok's Transtector.

An Alligatron and a Snakebomb later spotted the Autobots, who were flying over to the Decepticon stronghold. Presumably this was the same Snakebomb who attempted to attack Rodimus Prime with a Devilbat, only to be easily brushed off. Defeated, the Snakebomb called out to the newly arrived Galvatron, only to be accidentally shot at by Galvatron for his troubles. Eventually, the Decepticon Transformers were forced into retreat. Released in the first series of Takara's Transformers-branded Beastformers assortment, Snakebomb is a green anthropomorphic snake with other snakes for arms, wearing high-tech blue armor. The Battle Emblem on his chest reveals the elemental power of Fire, Wood, or Water when warmed up.
Because his arms do not have any real "tell" as to which side is the "front" (no thumbs, you see), there is a chance that his arms could come swapped in assembly, with the outer-face mouth as the left arm instead of the right arm.
He was only available in the "A Pack" assortment (which was only printed on the shipping case), and came in a red-grid generic "Cybertron Beastformer" box. He came with a Transformers-style bio card with a painted character image on a red grid backdrop, though there was a chance his bio card would instead be replaced with the rare "Holography Mirror" hologram card featuring Platinum Tiger.

Though this card shows line-art of a super-deformed Snakebomb toy, no actual toy was ever produced.
