Because they could only fit 2 US issues in one Dutch comic, which was printed every three months, it had to omit several comics in order to stay close to the US releases. Alltough there was one double-sized issue. Most importantly they skipped on the storyline in which Optimus and Megatron died. This was due to the fact that "The Transformers The Movie Adaptation" was printed but not in a stand-alone release or mini-series but in the regular series despite not fitting at all. And they felt killing off Optimus twice was too much so they skipped the comic storyline.
Because the comic was only printed every three months and they could't fit more than two US issues in one Dutch comic (with the exception of a single double-sized issue), several issues had to be omitted in order to stay current with the US releases, with explanations of what had happened in the intervening stories having to be printed on the introductions page. This was intentionally done in the case of Optimus Prime and Megatron's deaths in "Afterdeath!" and "Gone but Not Forgotten!" respectively, as they chose to publish Marvel's Transformers: the Movie as part of the main comic—rather than a separate standalone or miniseries—and believed killing the characters twice would only confuse the readers. Strangely, the non-canon story "The Big Broadcast of 2006" was also published. Junior Press would also publish profiles from The Transformers Universe and even a few issues from the Marvel UK comic in the regular series to help fill space when necessary.

The series resumed with issue #24. And thus the publisher had to explain several times in the introduction page what happened in those omitted issues. Yet oddly enough they did print issue 43.
Of further note is that in the earlier issues, Optimus mistakenly went by the name "Jetfire", as Jetfire had been positioned as the leader of the Autobots in early European marketing due to the initial unavailability of Prime's toy in those markets.

Additionally to fill the issues The Transformers Universe Profiles were printed in the regular series and even a few issues from the UK comic were printed as well.

Of further note is that in the earlier issues Optimus Prime went by the name Jetfire.

Junior Press was a Dutch publisher of comic books that is located in The Netherlands. It printed The Transformers comic book series up until On the Edge of Extinction!. They also printed The Transformers: Headmasters as a stand-alone comic which was given out for free at toy stores.

Of further note is that in the earlier issues, Optimus mistakenly went by the name "Jetfire", as Jetfire had been positioned as the leader of the Autobots in early European marketing due to the initial unavailability of Prime's toy in those markets.
