Step 1: Defend crotch. Step 2: Aim laser. Step 3: Fire randomly.

Drag Strip is a crazed, reckless speed freak. So of course someone gave him a weapon that controls one of the fundamental forces of the universe. His gravito-gun boosts the power of gravity itself — any unfortunate caught within its range will be torn to pieces, or crushed like a beer can on a fratboy's forehead.

Fiction

Marvel The Transformers comics

In robot mode, Drag Strip used a gravito-gun that enhanced the gravitational field of a localized area, causing those caught within the field to be crushed or torn apart. Drag Strip's Universe profile

Dreamwave Generation One continuity

As a robot, Drag Strip was armed with a gravito-gun that enhanced or reduced the effects of gravity on a target, either causing them to float away, remain immobile, or tear themselves apart. Drag Strip's More than Meets the Eye profile

Toys

The Transformers

Drag Strip came with a small purple gun, identified as a gravito gun in his instructions and hyphenated as a gravito-gun in his packaging bio.
Drag Strip was also available as part of a Menasor giftset and in 1990 he was offered as a mail-away by Weetabix breakfast cereal in the UK alongside the Aerialbot Fireflight, and reissued as part of the European/Australian Classics line.

Generation 2

  • Drag Strip (Stunticon)
    • Accessories: weapons, connector
Drag Strip was to have been redecoed for the Generation 2 line along with his weapons, as they are generically labelled in his instructions, though his packaging bio noted that he has a "gravity enhancing weapon to slow down enemies".

Legacy

Hang on, how am I supposed to combine with the rest of my team?!
Part of the first wave of Legacy Deluxe Class toys, "Decepticon Dragstrip" carries two "Gravito-blasters" instead of one, which can mount on his race car mode or combine side-by-side into a dual-barrel blaster.
