As part of the Great Upgrade, the Autobots and Decepticons turned Maximals and Predacons installed onboard computers into their systems. These computers would handle a variety of functions, such as transformation. Each faction had it's own unique code: Maximals would shout "Maximize", while Predacons would shout "Terrorize". Trivia

  • Most of the Japanese Transformer franchise have often had Transformers shouting "Transform!" when they transform. There are also something similar such as "Head on!" for the Headmasters, "God on!" for the Godmasters, and "Brain set!" for Brainmasters. But these do not appear to be activation codes. In the Cybertron episode City, Optimus Prime says that it's merely a good way to get psyched up.
