Fiction
Japanese Generation 1 cartoon continuity
Circa 2010, Shadow, having remained hidden thanks to invisibility ninjutsu, broke out Nightbird from stasis and led her to upgrade her body using their creator's lab. He soon encouraged her to steal away three of their siblings—inactivated Trainbots. However, they were caught by the nine other Trainbots, six of whom combined into G Liner. Using Shadow's cerebro-shell beam, Nightbird was able to take control of the combiner, but the evil duo's efforts were foiled by the three remaining Trainbots. The two were taken captive, but the ninja robot managed to escape using her ninja tricks. The Train Wars: The Origin
Shadow accompanied Nightbird when she joined and left the Decepticons following changes in leadership and when she ventured into the land of the Six Clan seeking to improve her ninjutsu. Shadow took care of introductions to the Clan's leader and so the two were inducted as the collective "Nightbird Shadow" into the secretive group. Nightbird Shadow bio
Notes
- Shadow speaks Japanese in a very strange diction, notably using asshi (アッシ), a personal pronoun with "working man" implications, and frequently using the humble anego (姉御, "elder sister") to refer to Nightbird.
