Doctor Fujiyama, who reportedly is a man of some renown in the scientific world, built a ninja robot. Her name was Nightbird, and her purpose was to benefit mankind. However, the Decepticons stole her and reprogrammed her to be evil, so he locked her away for humanity's protection. Enter the Nightbird

Train Wars

[edit]

By around 2010, Doctor Fujiyama built a series of Earth-born Transformers known as the Trainbots with Atari Hitotonari's assistance. Initially starting with six prototypes, Fujiyama moved on to a finalized set and had already activated three when Nightbird broke loose with the help of her partner AI, Shadow. Mach, one of the finalized Trainbots, protected his human creators from her attack, and Fujiyama evacuated after ordering all active Trainbots to bring in his errant creation unharmed. Once Mach, Night, and Snow resolved the situation, Fujiyama was elated to have his prized ninja robot back in custody, only to see that she had escaped once again. The Train Wars: The Origin

Ask Vector Prime

[edit]

Doctor Fujiyama was one of several Japanese scientists to contribute to the creation of the Trainbots as part of the Raiden Initiative. He was primarily responsible for their combat protocols, and chose to name the 485-200 series train due to its connection with his native Kyushu. He went with the name "Seizan" after the geography of his home region. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/09/27

Excuse me, but I seem to be bleeding oil.

Decades later, Fujiyama built an army of Nightbirds, and for some reason, that didn't go well either. Daniel Witwicky detonated an explosive device to destroy them, killing himself and Wheelie in the process. Departure

Doctor Fujiyama built Nightbird, and had to get the Autobots to rescue her when she was stolen by the Decepticons. Enter the Nightbird

Notes

[edit]
 • In the script for "Enter the Nightbird", Doctor Fujiyama's last name is consistently spelled "Fujiama", omitting the "y". However, as :}}Fujiyama (surname)| (藤山) is an uncommon Japanese name, it is possible that the episode writer did not know the proper spelling. It is written as "Fujiyama" in The Wreckers comic. His name in the Japanese dub is the more common-sounding Hamada (based on :}}Hamada (name)|), perhaps to avoid confusing Japanese children as the :}}Mount Fuji| is named Fuji-san (富士山).
