- Catgut is a Decepticon Action Master partner from the Generation 1 continuity family.
The Targetmaster partner to the Decepticon sharpshooter Treadshot, Catgut happily follows along, enjoying the chance to kill as many Autobots as possible, be it with fusion-powered particle blasts or his razor-sharp claws and fangs.
Fiction
INSIRT continuity
Catgut accompanied Treadshot when he was hired by Rewind and Chromedome as muscle while they explored the Vestigial Cortical Complex. Timeless
2019 IDW continuity
- First appearance: Transformers #19
Catgut survived the wreck of the Iron Hope, being forced to survive on nucleon in the aftermath and ending up locked in his quadruped mode as a result. He and his partner Treadshot were assigned to kill Bumblebee in the aftermath of the Tether falling. They almost succeeded but Bumblebee was rescued by Chromia before they could finish the job. With one of his optics having been shattered by Bumblebee, Catgut installed a tiny gun in its place and was among the group of Decepticons that seized the Titan Net central hub by force. He exchanged some threatening words with Steeljaw during the takeover. Hunt Catgut and Treadshot were seen relaxing at the reopened Swindle's after the Decepticons claimed full control of Iacon. When a group of Autobots infiltrated Iacon to rescue the captured Ultra Magnus, Catgut was among the Decepticons who cornered them inside Swindle's.
