The Omnibot Overdrive carries a plasma beam rifle.

Toys

The Transformers

According to his instructions, The Transformers Overdrive came with a chromed silver plasma beam rifle that he could wield in robot mode.

Notes

  • Unusally, Overdrive's toy came with three weapons that he could hold in robot mode, but as he only has two hands he is almost always pictured holding his neutron blaster and twin electron cannon instead of his plasma beam rifle, including in this wiki's image of his toy.
  • As with the other Omnibots, Overdrive's weapons have been given different names in practically every micro-continuity they have appeared in. The Tech Specs accompanying Overdrive's original Generation 1 Japanese release called his weapons a twin blaster, a BB shot, and a pulse laser, while in the west he didn't get a proper bio or profile until Dreamwave's More than Meets the Eye series where—presumably because the writers did not have access to the toy's instructions as part of their reference materials—he was armed with a double-barreled electroshock blaster and an armor-piercing rocket launcher.
