Dorie Dutton reported on the fact that the world's largest ruby was on display at the International Exhibition Center. On hearing this, Koji Onishi alerted the Autobots to the fact that the Predacons might try to steal it, and the Spy Changers were placed on guard overnight. As it happened, Gas Skunk, Dark Scream, and Slapper did pinch the ruby, and the Spy Changers' attempts to stop them failed when Mirage refused to fire at the fleeing Predacons. Renegade Rhetoric

Professor Morris showcased an experimental Brainwave Scanner at the Exhibition Center, which attracted the attention of the Decepticons. Hoist, Jazz, and Red Alert attempted to ambush Crash Test and Rumble, who had infiltrated the event using holomatter avatars, but were unprepared for Soundwave, who had deliberately baited Sector Seven to the premises to stop the Autobots.
