The Archives is a facility on Cybertron best known for its Rare Items Locker, where important or special objects the Transformer race somehow has gotten its hands on are stored.

[edit]Over-Run asked Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus to put the Dead Matrix away safely in the Archives' lockers. They did Revelations Part 2 and almost immediately after, Soundwave sent in Laserbeak to retrieve it. Laserbeak did so with remarkably little effort, though that might have something to do with most of Cybertron being abandoned at that time. Revelations Part 3
