Shin Ueda (上田信 Ueda Shin) is a Japanese illustrator with a storied career in Japanese sci-fi working on properties for all ages, though his true passion lies in military history. He has worked on franchises such as Gundam, Kamen Rider, Devilman, Armored Trooper Votoms, and many more. In the world of the Transformers, he has created packaging art from before the beginning of the brand in the pre-Transformer Diaclone toyline all the way up through the twilight of the Generation 1 franchise in Japan with Return of Convoy.
