Nanosec (episode)

Bumblebee's self-proclaimed title as "fastest thing on wheels" is threatened by Nanosec, a super speedster crook on a deadly mission that could destroy all of Detroit.

Synopsis

Nano Sextant ( funny name, get the giggels out ) faces a cop bot with a sack of cash. The bot demands he stops, but he jumps on the cop bots top out of site to the bot that still needs the "bugs" worked out. Nano jumps on some boxs then spots a running car with a door open and jumps in. But the door slams shut and transforms into bumblebee! Bee says he will give Nano a headstart and gets him no pro-blamo. Bulkhead rolls up and says to " use your head not your thrusters ". Nano sneeks away as the bots bicker but bulkhead drops his reckingball in front of him saying " were talking ". The peer there standing on cracks then spilts open as bulkhead and bumblebee fall in to the water. Nano hangs by a loose bord for dear life. As it starts to fall Prime grabs him and takes him to the slammer.Back at the autobot base, prime is mad at bumblebee for not taking care with his speed. Prime says he, prowl and bulkhead are going to spend the day showing him how to blend in. In the slammer Nano gets bailed out and wonders who bailed him out. As hes thinking he get box from a robot saying its a gift for him. Back on the highway bumblebee speeds along having a good time, but prowl says there isnt a rush. Saying this bee says prowl looks odd without a rider. Prowl makes a police officer on him self. Bee see a bunch of speeding cop cars along the side of the road and puts on his cop light and speeds away the pack. Back with Nano in his new gift, a suit that lets him run super fast robs banks and gets the name Nanosec.

Other notes

Animation errors

• As Bumblebee is about to go over the closed bridge, Sari's All Spark key is stuck in his ignition... and also depicted hanging from its lanyard around her neck.

Transformers references

• Bumblebee uses the term "Big Bot", which was also Cheetor's affectionate name for Optimus Primal in Beast Wars.

• Megatron is made up of Destronium circuits. The Decepticons are called Destrons in Japan.

• Bumblebee's battle mask bears a striking similarity to the toy-face of the original Generation 1 Bumblebee toy.

• Sumdac's new police drones, first seen (sort of) in Total Meltdown, have been adopted by the Detroit police department...they still need to work out some bugs.

• Prowl can project a hologram of a police officer riding him...and the hologram has a mustache.

Miscellaneous trivia

• First time Bumblebee uses his battle mask.
• First time we see Bumblebee's rocket boosters.
• In this episode, Bumblebee tries to be responsible, while Sari is the one who opts for breaking the rules. Wow. That's a role reversal from previous fictions.
• Isaac Sumdac is still using Megatron's hand as a chair. For a fleshling, he's got brass.
• Bumblebee ran Nanosec, already slowed enough to make them equal, into old age on purpose for no apparent reason. That is COLD.
