In a time of rising beasts, only one can hold the title of Earth's strongest.[1] Potato (ใใใ, Poteto) represents the pinnacle of beast/machine synthesis, possessing an unusual vehicular guinea pig mode. The people of the universe can rest easy knowing that this powerful "Molformer" fights alongside the Autobots and Maximals.
His only known weakness is his affinity for carrots.
Commercial appearances
Potato was present alongside the Autobot and Maximal forces during their campaign against Unicron's minions. Though his main contributions to the fight were frightened squeaks and slapstick pratfalls, he nevertheless bravely led a team of other Molcars into battle. Notes
- Potato is the main character of the Japanese stop-motion anime Pui Pui Molcar. The majority of his Transformers appearance seems to use pre-existing footage, with little effort to chroma-key him into actual scenes from the movie. TakaraTomy's official Transformers movie PR account warns viewers that, unfortunately, Potato does not appear in the full version of the film.[2] #ReleaseTheMolcarCut!
- Potato's main robot mode artwork is based on a "Molformers" parody poster that frequently appears in the background of many of the show's scenes.[3]
