- The Paradise Parakeet is a bird from the Legacy portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

The Paradise Parakeet is a small bird. It also seems to be friends with Beachcomber.
Fiction
The Transformers cartoon

On a geology expedition with Perceptor and several other Autobots, Beachcomber abandoned them in the middle of a firefight to explore a tunnel in the nearby cliffside. While his friends were dodging laser fire and trading blows, Beachcomber encountered a parakeet on the other side of the pathway and attempted to learn its language. The bird quickly flew away, leading Beachcomber to assume he had "said something wrong". The Golden Lagoon

Legacy

- Beachcomber & Paradise Parakeet (Deluxe Class, 2023)
- Origin universe: G1 Universe
- TakaraTomy ID number: TL-43
- TakaraTomy release date: October, 2023
- Accessories: Bumper/Machine gun, Paradise Parakeet
- Known designers: Mark Maher (Hasbro), Shuhei Umezu (TakaraTomy)[1]
- Included as an accessory to Legacy: Evolution Beachcomber, the Paradise Parakeet is a small rubbery PVC figure based on the bird Beachcomber encountered in "The Golden Lagoon". The Paradise Parakeet perches atop a 5 mm peg which can be inserted into any 5 mm port (such as the one on Beachcomber's forearm), plus the underside of the 5 mm peg is compatible with 3 mm pegs, such as the ones on Beachcomber's shoulders.
Notes
- The Paradise Parakeet's name is similar to that of the paradise parrot, which is presumed to have gone extinct by 1927. Hopefully this one doesn't die out anytime soon.
- There's pretty decent odds that the parakeet's whistles were provided by Frank Welker.
Foreign names
- Japanese: Paradise Parakeet (パラダイスパラキート Paradaisu Parakīto)
