- Synapse is an Autobot-allied Mini-Con from the Energon portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.
Synapse (シナプス Shinapusu) is one of the many energy-enhancing Mini-Cons who have allied themselves with the Autobots. A member of the Stealth Augmentation Team, Vector Prime considers him a bit... smarmy. Synapse isn't quite as maneuverable as Road Rebel, but is quite a bit smarter. When Powerlinxed to a Bulk, he likewise increases his partner's cognitive abilities.[1]

- Circa 2007, the Transformers Collectors' Club commissioned profile art for Synapse, to be given the localized name Impulse, but it was never officially used due to the Mini-Con bio program going defunct. Artist MCRG would later post it to DeviantArt.[2]
