The name or term "Swoop" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Swoop (disambiguation).
Swoop is an Autobot from the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.
Me Swoop not sure how me Swoop's square fingers work.

Swoop might be simple minded, but when it comes to blasting Decepticons to tiny bits from the air, his lack of intelligence doesn't seem to hinder him at all. He tends to be the first to strike, scattering Decepticons and keeping them panicked while his partner Grimlock sneaks up on them. Then Swoop joins in on the ground, tearing into their opponents with claws and teeth, either separately, or combined into the brutal Mega-Dinobot.

Fiction

Timelines

During the Unicron Singularity crisis, Swoop served aboard the Autobot flagship Iron Hope. He was called into action during a Decepticon attack on the ship, and battled Predacon alongside Grimlock. Force of Habit

Energon comic

Energon ceased publication before the story could conclude. The following would have taken place in unpublished issues.

Swoop and Grimlock were dispatched by Jetfire to assist against a Terrorcon attack in the Mojave Desert, but they were unable to arrive before an upgraded Demolishor kidnapped Kicker. Armageddon Part 1 The Dinobots were joined by Rad, and assisted by Carlos and Alexis to pursue Demolishor and Kicker. Armageddon Part 2 The rescue team was bolstered by Wing Saber, Cliffjumper, and Rodimus, who tracked down Demolishor and the captive Kicker in Mexico. The Autobots battled Demolishor while Rad freed Kicker. Armageddon Part 4 Once free, Kicker used his special powers to channel the energy of all the Energon on Earth, using it to utterly destroy Demolishor. Armageddon Part 5

  • Grimlock & Swoop (Mega Class, 2005)
Energon Swoop transforms from the usual pterosaur (this time equipped with a pair of giant Jetfire-style scramjets formed by the robot-mode legs) into a robot. He can also form the lower body of the combined robot Mega-Dinobot. He was available only in a Mega Class two-pack with Grimlock.
This set was originally intended to be released in the Universe line, as their original Generation 1 incarnations. However, a variety of factors shuffled the set into Energon and thus new character pages on this wiki. This set was not "mech-designed" or engineered by Takara employees, a rarity for normal-series Transformers toys.
