Hoist was later interviewed about his part in the potentially inflammatory Autobot propaganda films (or "public service announcements" as he calls them) by multiversal newspaper ALTernity Today. The AllSpark Almanac II

The shadowy "Decepticon" was, of course, unidentified in the episode he appeared in; The AllSpark Almanac II would later give him the name and backstory.
The actor being named "Hoist" is a reference to the Transformers episode "Hoist Goes Hollywood".
