Subspace incursions bring Optimus Primal to New Quintessa, but the ape has some... problems.

Synopsis

Buying Time

Ratchet alerts Optimus Prime to further space bridge incursions, the most recent one having a single clue to the new arrival—a clump of gray fur. Rhinox immediately realizes his identity. In private, Rhinox consults with Dinobot about his distaste for the usual modus operandi of the Commander and his crew—hunt down and beat up new arrivals. The rhino pleads with Optimus Prime to let him take care of things the "Maximal way", but Optimus refuses to risk his forces on Rhinox's intuition, so the Maximal stands his ground (and fails).

Waspinator, member of the Commander's alliance, sends report of the identity of the arrival: Optimus Primal. Unfortunately, he's going a bit ape and thrashing about. Waspinator also finds the downed Rhinox, who manages to convince the waspbot to help out Optimus Primal. Waspinators returns with news that the Maximal commander is under the effects of Scorponok's cyberbee, a condition that Rhinox is all too familiar with. He sends Waspinator to fend off the Commander to buy himself time to develop an antidote.

Animal Kingdom Unite

S-1000's sense of smell brings him to Rhinox, who tries to bring the Sharkticon over to his side as a fellow "Beastie". S-1000, having nothing to lose, agrees to help out for a week and faces off against Optimus Prime and the Commander. Rhinox also manages to get Grimlock to assist by pointing out Prime's lack of respect for the Dinobot. The rhino soon finally finds Primal, but the Maximal is deep under cyberbee delusion, accusing the other Maximals of being traitors.

Primal Time

After Optimus Primal tests out the Autobots in combat, they regroup and are soon met by Dinobot, who has also been brought in to delay the Commander and their forces. Nevertheless, Rhinox still hasn't found an antidote and accedes to the Autobots in subduing Primal. The gorilla-bot doesn't make it easy, but is ultimately knocked out.
