Agent Bala was transporting an energon scanner through Witwicky when her truck was struck while passing through an intersection. She attempted to drive off at speed, but was chased down by Swindle, who managed to overturn the truck. After he discovered he was unable to reach the device, he sped off, leaving Bala to call for local backup. She received help in the form of Dot Malto, Elita-1 and a squad of G.H.O.S.T. agents.
