Do we really need the (G2)?

Since the G1 figures were "Powermasters", we don't need the "(G2)" unless there's some other "Power Master" I'm forgetting about. --FortMax 14:58, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

I think it does avoid a fair amount of confusion and explaining, as we have Powermasters, Power Masters, and Powered Masters.--Rosicrucian^Talk 15:04, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

But the title disambuig is only for keeping different articles from colliding. The "_____ is a ______ from the ______ continuity" We don't need the stuff in the paranthesis unless there is another article titled "Power Master" exactly. Cleanup

This is just a reminder for Might Gaine - we usually try to avoid using acronyms such as "G1" or "G2" with such regularity in the articles themselves, since it's not really very helpful to more casual readers or newcomers even if "we all know" what they mean. Also, when speaking of the brand names of things such as Transformers (the toy brand) or franchises such as Generation 2, we put them in italics. This includes brands and franchises not associated with Transformers, such as Gundam. We should also link names and terms that have articles (or warrant a future article) in the first instance we come to them in this article.

I would also question the tone a little, and I edited the suspicion about them not being engineered by Takara by saying there is no hard evidence to confirm or deny it, which we should really point out for our fandom-created 'suspicions' just so we're not talking out of arses. --FFN 15:37, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Uh... 1. Why is this on this page instead of my Talk page? 2. I don't have time to both write full articles and follow all the formatting guidelines. Sorry. Contibuting content to the wiki has been taking up a lot of my time recently and frankly, if I had to both write my articles and format them correctly, I honestly think I would just stop altogether,since it's already time consuming enough as it is. --Might Gaine 19:04, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

1. It's on your talk page because it's general wiki posting guidelines, with your article simply serving as an example. Nothing inimical involved. 2. There's no deadline for finishing an article, so one shouldn't find oneself pressed for time. One can always refine before posting if one has the guidelines in mind, or take a break after posting and go over the article again later. Yes, others can edit and clean up one's work, and when one contributes significantly with only minimal mistakes, it's not that terrible a situation. However, if the contributor can be persuaded to save the clean-up folks repeated effort by eliminating a consistent (and persistent) error in his text, so much the better.--Apcog 22:50, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
