Added to the Cyberverse toyline in 2019 as part of the Power of the Spark rebranding, each Spark Armor is a vehicle that can become battle armor for compatible figures. The "Battle Class" armors disassemble into parts that attach to the bots via 5 mm attachment points, while the larger "Elite Class" vehicles transform in one step into add-on armor, rather than splitting into multiple pieces. The two size classes are not strictly compatible, but nothing's stopping you from adding those Battle Class parts to whatever compatible ports there are on the Elite Class figures.

The drill also depicts a yellow paint operation (or an unpainted patch) on the butt-end of the handle.

:Cyberverse Elite Class Bumblebee includes a large, nearly Voyager-sized Ocean Storm battleship. The Ocean Storm automatically transforms into armor when it is pegged onto Bumblebee's back and folded over his collar. Like all Cyberverse Elite-class armor, The Ocean Storm features a unique built-in helmet. Its armor mode has limited articulation, with elbow and bicep swivel joints, but does not have any shoulder articulation to speak of due to the way it automatically transforms when attached. As a result, it cannot assume the slightly splayed stance that it is shown in on the back of the package. It also has a flip-out anchor weapon which snaps into place in ship mode and unlocks by changing to armor mode. In addition, the armor features multiple 5 mm post holes, including the hands, shoulders, elbows, and one on the left forearm. The bridge and conning tower are only held in by friction, and as such may pop out during play. The clip that locks into Bumblebee's waist can be rather tight, but can be disconnected by lifting the plate up rather than trying to pull it forward.

:Cyberverse Elite Class Megatron comes with the Chopper Cut, an almost Voyager-sized helicopter with a free spinning rotor. Like all Elite spark armor vehicles, the accessory also has a unique built-in helmet. When flipping down the piece with the alternate head while attaching the Spark Armor, a spring-loaded gimmick is activated causing the propeller to spin and two additional arms to flip out, one with a built-in mace and the other you can attach the included Fusion Cannon to. This configuration causes the original robot arms to dangle awkwardly at the sides, but this can be remedied by bending the arms at the elbows to a 45-degree angle and rotating the lower arms until the fists point straight towards the back, streamlining the look of the armored robot mode.

:Included with Cyberverse Elite Class Optimus Prime, the Sky Turbine is an almost Voyager-sized jet and is based on a swing-wing jet of made-up model, with some design details being reminiscent of Jetfire. It features large undercarriage Gatling guns and, satisfyingly, folding nose-cone landing gear. When folded down as armor, the guns unlatch and swing beside Prime's arms using a spring-loaded mechanism, and wings rotate 180 degrees with the jet exhausts becoming shoulder-mounted cannons. For extra stability, the heel supports on Optimus are extra long to support the weight of the armor. Unlike most Elite-class spark armor, there are no larger hands sculpted in.

:Cyberverse Elite Class Grimlock comes with the Trash Crash, a deluxe-sized garbage truck with a dumpster permanently affixed to its front loaders and hoisted above the trash hopper. The truck automatically transforms into armor when pegged into Grimlock's back. Like all Elite Class toys, the vehicle features a unique built-in helmet. Unlike the rest of the Elite Class, the armor does not lock into place or clip onto the chest of the robot, meaning that it is prone to popping back into garbage truck mode. The dumpster forms fist-mounted claws in armor mode.

Using the power of the AllSpark, a Cybertronian could augment themself with any non-sentient vehicle or machine in the form of spark armor, combining its capabilities and weaponry with that of the wearer. This includes tank guns, missiles, flight, drills, and the like.

Fiction

Cyberverse cartoon

When Optimus Prime and Megatron both arrived to claim the AllSpark, its guardian Cheetor granted them spark armor from a jet and helicopter, respectively, for use in a trial by combat. Trials Starscream later demonstrated the power of the AllSpark to Slipstream and the assembled Seekers by forming spark armor from a construction vehicle. He later used his new upgrade in an attack against the Nemesis and Megatron. Dark Birth

Later, Starscream granted Sky-Byte and Jetfire spark armor from a tank and drill-mining vehicle in order to pit them against one another and distract the Autobots and Decepticons from his plans. Both kidnapped the other's respective leader, dueled in a coliseum at Megatron's suggestion, and flew home with their respective leader. Infinite Vendetta
