Funko Pop!

"I like the way they pop!"

Pop! is a multi-property brand of non-transforming, mostly static super deformed vinyl figures made by Funko, launched in 2011 and based on all sorts of franchises from popular culture, including (but in no way limited to) Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Star Wars and G.I. Joe. Pop! vinyls normally measure around 4 inches tall, but there are also larger, "Jumbo"-scaled figures that are 10 inches tall, as well as smaller "Keychain" versions and a plethora of merchandise based on the brand's, ahem, unique aesthetic.

The brand first released Transformers figures in a very small number in 2014, but has since released a much more constant flux of products beginning in 2020. Featured characters have been based on both Generation 1 and the live-action film series.

Not content with dead-eyed, top-heavy figurines, Funko turned its hand to the most popular snake oil scheme of 2020, by introducing Pop! Digital Transformers X Funko in 2022. This segment features Non-Fungible Tokens, or NFTs for short, of short animated clips of various vinyl figures, as well as a limited series of physical vinyl figures.

Unlike those regular-ol' "carbon-negative" NFTs, these NFTs are on the Droppp platform built on WAX, a certified "carbon-neutral" blockchain... It doesn't matter much as everyone saw them as a sham still.

The digital NFTs were distributed in both standard and premium packs limited to 18,750 each, with the former containing five tokens and the latter fifteen (for three times the price, of course); Different tokens had different rarities with which they appeared, because even glorified receipts for images and GIFs are not immune to the scummy gacha game cycle.

• Series: These have a 10% chance of being drawn in a standard pack and a 30% chance in a premium pack.
• 1 Of 1: These have a 0.008% chance of being drawn in a standard pack and a 0.025% chance in a premium pack. Only one each of these were minted.
• Grail: These have a .28% chance of being drawn and can be redeemed for a chance of earning a physical collectible. They were limited to 999 pieces each.
• Legendary: These have a 1.27% chance of being drawn (for either pack type) and can be redeemed for a chance of earning a physical collectible. They were limited to 1550 pieces each.
• Epic: These have a 7.99% chance of being drawn as part of the "royalty collection".
• Rare: These have a 14.03% chance of being drawn as part of the "royalty collection".
• Uncommon: These have a 27.08% chance of being drawn as part of the "royalty collection".
• Common: These have a 48.90% chance of being drawn as part of the "royalty collection".
