During a clash between the Autobots and Decepticons on Dabola, Deadlock led his troops to victory by going on the offensive against the Autobots. Afterwards, a member of Deadlock's team reminded him that Turmoil's orders were not to fire unless fired upon, but Deadlock responded that Turmoil wouldn't know how they achieved their results. The trooper declared that he would tell Turmoil because unlike the rest of the squad, he was not afraid of Deadlock. Deadlock responded by shooting him in the head. Drift #1

Notes

[edit]
  • There appear to have been some miscommunications during the development of Drift #1, as four late-G1/G2 characters originally illustrated as dying in the story were actually alive in the IDW universe's "present". This oversight necessitated the recoloring of the Carnivac-esque Decepticon Deadlock kills (who remains unidentified, but is confirmed by Alex Milne as having been drawn as someone else,[1] and intentionally colored in Breakdown's Generation 2 colors by Perez[2]) as a generic to maintain continuity.
