Monko is a character from the Beast Wars II portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
You can't see me!

This character has no official visual representation in any Transformers product or media... yet, at least.

Monko (モン子) is a cabbage white butterfly, but whether that means they are a literal butterfly or an Insectron with a butterfly alternate mode is unclear. Odds are they're female.[1] What is known for certain is that Monko knows Bigmos and thinks highly of him. Bigmos values Monko's regard.

I've got a good reputation and it is said by the cabbage white butterfly Monko-chan that I am cool and wonderful![2]

Beast Wars cartoon

A conversation with Artemis and Moon during an Artemis & Moon II Report made Bigmos feel insecure, so he brought up how "Monko-chan" thought he was cool and wonderful. Friend or Foe? The Insect Robos

References

  1. "Monko" suggests a female identity as a contraction of monshirochō (紋白蝶, "cabbage white") and ko; ko (子) was a common way to end a female name before the 2000s. The suffix -chan is used for women and anything cute. If Monko is a literal butterfly, -chan is appropriate because it's a cute animal. If Monko is Bigmos's peer, -chan suggests but does not confirm a female identity.
  2. モンシロチョウのモン子ちゃんには、カッコイイ、ステキって大評判なんだぜ! (Monshirochō no Monko-chan ni wa kakkoii sutekitte daihōban nan da ze!)
