Captain Ironhide (アイアンハイド Aianhaido) is a weapons specialist within the Autobot Resistance, and the leader of its 3rd unit, codename: "Red Lightning". A hot-blooded warrior and born leader, Ironhide's talent for combat was evident from a young age. His high combat IQ allows him to adapt to any situation, no matter how dire, and he always puts his comrades above all else. He's partnered up with the human Jones.

Notes
- Ironhide was chosen as the first Autobot in the Overgear line due to his rough and tumble personality and role as a weapons specialist embodying the spirit of the line's core gimmicks.[1]
- Ironhide's human partner is a fairly clear reference to the relationship between Energon Ironhide and Kicker Jones.
- This isn't the first time an Ironhide has been part of a lightning-themed unit with a red lightning bolt as part of their insignia.
