Jean Barney (b. October 28, 1947) is a French actor, who appeared in many theater plays and TV series. He started theater in 1968 after his studies at the National Academy of Dramatic Arts.

Also active in dubbing, he is the regular French voice of J.K. Simmons (he dubbed him in 25 films) and one of the voices of Geoff Pierson, James Remar, Stacy Keach and Alan Dale.

In animation, he dubbed Chip in Antz, Commander Rourke in Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Doris in the Shrek films, Rattlesnake Jake in Rango and Emperor Zurg in Lightyear.

His roles in video games include Shepherd in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Xalek in Star Wars: The Old Republic, Kellogg in Fallout 4, Herodotus in Assassin's Creed Odyssey and John Marshall in Rage 2.
