Roller Force is a Decepticon Micromaster from the Generation 1 continuity family.
Daaayum, you got served!

Roller Force regards everything as an obstacle, even his teammates in the Race Track Patrol. Especially since he thinks race tracks are for wimp-bots, and prefers the rugged terrain of the battlefield.<ref>More than Meets the Eye #5</ref>

Roller Force was among the new and impressionable Micromasters who were created in the middle of the war and became Decepticons. Alongside the rest of the Sports Car Patrol, he stole some Autobot energon and fought the Hot Rod Patrol over it. During the battle, he mocked his teammate Motorhead for being a rookie, only to be overturned in vehicle mode by Trip-Up. After winning the battle, the Patrol learned from their commander Shockwave that they wouldn't get a drop of the fuel they worked hard to steal, and rebelled by ditching the Decepticons. On the way to Little Iacon, they ran into the Hot Rod Patrol again, and though Roller Force was eager for a rematch, he calmed down once he learned that the Hot Rods had similarly abandoned their faction. Destined for Nothing

Both teams found themselves attacked by the cannibalistic Insecticons, and though they were saved by Groundshaker, the Sports Car Patrol was ungrateful, with Roller Force even expressing interest in killing their savior. After rejecting Shockwave's appeal for them to return to the Decepticons, they went to The Burn Outs bar, where Roller Force found Trip-Up occupying his seat. He prepared to teach the punk a lesson using his hidden knuckle-blades, but the bar brawl was ultimately avoided when Trip-Up and everyone else present became more interested in watching a race between Roadhandler and Big Daddy. The Gray Race The Sports Car Patrol later agreed to help the Insecticons find the Hot Rod Patrol for the Decepticons, seeing as how refusal would probably lead to their too-early deaths. After then returning to the Decepticons, they found that Micromasters Skystalker and Skyhopper had overthrown Shockwave and taken command. Recipe for Hate

When the Hot Rod Patrol, led by Countdown, showed up at the Decepticon base to rescue some imprisoned Micromasters, the Sports Car Patrol fought them again. While Roller Force initially didn't mind Skystalker's master plan to rid Cybertron of the "guzzlers" by pitting them against each other until their fuel ran out, he and the others were convinced by Countdown that Skystalker was a ruthless jerk who would just as happily rid Cybertron of them when it became convenient. They subsequently helped put a stop to the plan by interrupting a major battle between the Autobot and Decepticon guzzlers. Victims of the Revolution

The Transformers

[edit]

Unlike the United States, the Decepticon Army accepts soldiers with flat feet.
  • Race Track Patrol (Micromaster Patrol, 1990)
  • Takara name: Race Track Patrol Team
  • Takara ID number: D-341
Released in the seventh (and final) year of Hasbro's US Transformers toyline (sixth and not-final year in European markets), Roller Force transforms into a Baja off-road buggy. Roller Force is gang-molded with his teammate Barricade, sharing the same plastic colors.
He was only available as part of the Race Track Patrol set with his teammates Barricade, Ground Hog, and Motorhead.
In Takara's markets, the Team was released as the "Race Track Patrol Team", released in the Zone portion of Takara's Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers toyline. They are physically identical to their Hasbro counterparts. They are one of a whopping two Decepticon regular-retail releases in the entire Zone toyline, the other being Metrotitan. This makes them the only Hasbro Micromaster team to keep their Decepticon faction in Japan.

War for Cybertron: Earthrise

[edit]
Hot pink is no longer in fashion.
  • Roller Force & Decepticon Ground Hog (Micromaster, 2020)
  • Hasbro ID number: WFC-E15
  • TakaraTomy ID number: ER EX-09
  • TakaraTomy release date: September 26, 2020
Part of the second wave of Earthrise Micromaster two-packs, Roller Force transforms from a robot into an off-road buggy with a racing spoiler. He comes with his partner Ground Hog as members of the Race Car Patrol. He can combine with his accomplice to form a large cannon. In Japan, Roller Force and Ground Hog are TakaraTomy Mall exclusives.
The instructions and the back of the packaging erroneously swap Ground Hog's and Roller Force's names around.
This figure was redecoed into the Race Track Patrol's leader, Runner.
