A disembodied Unicron commands his loyal servants to eliminate an rogue element in the timestream and to not tell the "vessel". He orders Rartorata to travel to prehistoric Earth to stop anyone from alerting of his coming.
On Earth, even with Torca and Grimlock, Ravage's Predacons have the advantage in the battle. Snarl calls Razorbeast outside to help fight, leaving Ravage inside the cave base, unaware that the Predacon is still functional. Using the Maximals' hardware, Ravage shifts his chronal placement to interact with the primary Beast Wars. But before arriving in the same existence as Optimus Primal and Megatron's war, Ravage finds himself drawn out of time to Magmatron. Having seen the future, Magmatron explains to Ravage that a truce is in order to save Cybertron's future, which convinces the Predacon to consider the option.
On Cybertron, the three presiding Maximal Elders, finding their society destabilized and unaware of the effects that Angolmois energy is having on the populace of Cybertron, call for help from Big Convoy. Big Convoy, however is too busy investigating a murder—one Angolmois junkie being killed so the Angolmois could be stolen. Unknown to him, the theft of Angolmois was perpetrated by Drancron, Elephorca, and Rarotata so they could feed the energy to Shokaract.
Back on Earth, Lio Convoy's Pack arrives through transwarp after having received Razorbeast's distress signal (thanks to Magmatron), ready to assist the group on Earth. They descend, changing the tide of battle with their heavy weaponry. But before the battle is over, Ravage shifts himself into their time and relays the news from Magmatron: the two sides must join forces. But before he can finish explaining, Rartorata swoops out and stings Razorbeast with something that mutates the Maximal into a razorback of rage!
"Razorbeast's catastrophic intervention in my transwarp jump brought me to this state."
"So you want me to kill him for you. Fine. Consider it done. Now put me back in the real world."
"I don't want you to kill him. Quite the opposite. I want you to declare a truce. Cybertron's very future depends on it!"

"As near as Tasmania Kid and I can figure, this poor unfortunate came in here for a hit. No sooner had he uncapped the delivery nozzle that the siren call went out, drawing in a mob from far and wide. They stormed the place. Tore him limb from limb."

"The Razorbeast you knew is gone. All that now remains... is rage!"
The comic doesn't explain what angolmois is (beyond a drug), who Shokaract is, their mutual link to Unicron, or where the Blendtrons came from or who they are. Essentially, it assumes that all of the readers know already, either from fandom websites, the old BotCon tales, or reading the contemporary Beast Wars Sourcebook. If you didn't know this, you're probably quite lost!
The Titan reprints, which could not assume British kids in 2008 had read BotCon stories from 1999 or heard about undubbed anime, would refer to Shokaract as "the ghost of Unicron" in their recaps of this issue. (Unicron was appearing in the contemporary movie-related strips in the same mag) Not quite right but close enough for kids to grasp the plot. Angolmois gets no such explanation.
Stampy is holding a space carrot while in the Maximal ship. Apparently, his "beast head" hand was hungry.
The Maximal ship used by The Pack seems to be loosely based on the Maximal insignia.
In the Elder's live feeds of the chaos, there are heavily armoured (akin to knights) "riot cops" with the Pack's mark on their chests.
The murdered Angolmois junkie is the Monster GoBotPincher, albeit miscolored. Well, that's either him or Vice Grip, either works.
In light of the fact B'Boom and Apache's toys are damn near identical, the previous issue had shown Apache with his toy's shoulder cannons retracted to make them visually distinct. This issue also has Apache's mandrill form be significantly scrawnier, and has the two never on-panel at the same time. Meanwhile, the similarly afflicted Injector and Rartorata take a different tack: Rary is made much bigger on assuming his beast mode, towering over everyone else, along with a slight greenish tint and an array of unsightly pustules all over his mug.
The Maximals on Earth take cover in the trenches caused by Retrax's bombs last issue, with Armordillo noting that this "did us a favor".
The Maximal Elders meet within a tower with a roof shaped like the Maximal insignia, rather than the Council Citadel.
Big Convoy's dialogue seems to indicate some Maximal-Predacon discrimination is going on in Cybertron's legal system as he has to remind Ikard to tell the Elders that the mob that killed the junkie was an "almost equal" mix of Maximal and Predacon. Other Beast Wars fiction also indicates this, such as one of Megatron's lines in "The Agenda (Part III)".
The Pack openly enjoy beating up Predacons "instead of the Pax", tying into the uneasy peace between the two established in the very first Beast Wars episode.
Ikard and Big Convoy refer to seeing angolmois before, while the Pack refer to having beast modes before: both of these are nods to the Beast Wars II and Beast Wars Neo animes, which IDW decided were set in the past in Beast Wars Sourcebook or at least events analogous to them were. (Better translations would show the animes were set in the future of Beast Wars but this was not known back in 2007!)
This issue features an interesting way to avoid creating a continuity error; Magmatron stops Ravage from interacting with the primary Beast Wars by shunting him out of time, which prevents Ravage from carrying out his plan. The comics take place during the third season of the show after Ravage had kicked the bucket beforehand. Basically, Magmatron's intervention stopped Ravage from accidentally incurring a temporal paradox in-fiction and a continuity error out of it.
Mark Bristow, the colorist of the previous issue, is incorrectly credited for the colors of this issue instead of Josh Burcham.
On the third page, Wolfang addresses one of his statements to himself, because the second two speech balloons (his and Bonecrusher's) are reversed. This was corrected for the Transformers: Beast Wars Omnibus.
When Magmatron tells Ravage about the truce, there's a panel of a shocked Ravage and space for a word balloon that simply isn't there/ Presumably, "I want you to declare a truce" was meant to appear there and not the preceding panel.
The riot cops probably aren't meant to be members of the Pack, as their insignia suggests.
