The TFWiki community was originally created on May 28, 2005, by Nova81426 at "transformers.wikicities.com" (URL no longer valid) on Wikicities. It lay quiescent until March 2006, when civic-minded persons started a push within the Transformers fan-community to take over the wiki. This campaign was later revealed to a prank by 4chan, but the damage had been done.
On September 15, following a long, acrimonious fall-out with Wikia.com, the community moved to TFWiki.net, where they can be found today.
