Backstop is an Autobot-allied Mini-Con from the Armada portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family (via Universe).

Backstop is a member of the Landslide Team, dedicated to combat engineering.

Backstop is a redeco of Classics Sledge, transforming into a combination payloader/backhoe. He was only available in a 12-pack with Blight, Brimstone, Bodyblock, Boltflash, Cloudraker, Flatfoot, Heavytread, Knockdown, Makeshift, Skyhammer, and Suppressor.

This mold was also used to make Rockblade.
