Buildup is a Mini-Con from the video game version of the Unicron Trilogy.
Buildup is one of many power-enhancing Mini-Cons scattered across Earth. A member of the Green Mini-Con Team. When Powerlinxed to a larger Transformer, Buildup slowly repairs his hosts' damaged parts and restores their energon levels to nominal status.
(Note: Buildup is very likely named after the production company Buildup, who produced the CGI movies for the game.)

Transformers Playstation 2 Game
Buildup was one of several Mini-Cons found within an abandoned research center in Antarctica. Following the defeat of Megatron, he and the other Mini-Cons returned to Cybertron and helped form the Matrix Cannon, Nemesis Shield and Vanguard Booster, giving the Autobots the power needed to destroy Unicron.
