He is most famous for playing Chō in the 1984-1991 children's show Tanken Boku no Machi, eventually becoming synonymous with the character and using the name as his stage name. A few of Nagashima's other roles include Jaken in InuYasha, Ginnosuke Nohara in Crayon Shin-chan and the President of Everything in Super Milk-chan.
