Sireen

Sireen is an Autobot Micromaster from the Operation Combination portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Sireen (サイレーン Sairēn) serves the interesting dual functions of medic and strategist. He is outfitted with an overhead storage rack for miscellaneous medical equipment (which looks suspiciously like a pair of guns). Sireen is reportedly a longtime friend of the Autobot Micromasters' other strategist, D-Go of the Sixliner Team.

Sireen was the only member of the Turbo Team who was not originally infected by the Decepticons' Reverse Evolution virus. He and Joe developed an antivirus program to return the other Turbo Team members to normal. In order to get the program into their systems simultaneously, Sireen surrendered to the others and convinced them to combine into Sixturbo, activating the program just as they combined. Sireen was briefly turned into a Decepticon himself just before the antivirus program took effect, turning all six components back into Autobots. Enter the Urban Disaster Relief Specialists!!

After this incident, Sireen modified this antivirus program to create the Vaccine Program Gun, which would theoretically do the opposite of the Reverse Evolution virus, turning Decepticons into Autobots. However, not only did the weapon fail to work as intended, but it had the unexpected effect of turning Sixwing into Berserker Sixwing. Enter the Decepticon Sixwing!!

Operation: Combination

Years later, Road Police and the rest of the Six-team Micromasters joined Guard City and the Road Corps in defending Earth from the forces of the Decepticon Führer Scrash. Operation Combination

None of the combiner team individuals ever actually show up as individuals, only as components of the combined robot modes.

The original version of Sireen was available only as part of a Sixturbo gift set in Japan. Aside from the ambulance mode, Sireen can form either leg of any of the similar-build Six-Teams (Sixturbo, Sixbuilder or Sixwing). He can also theoretically form an arm, but he's incredibly awkward as such. The original Six-Teams are considered among the more difficult Japanese Generation 1 pieces to find.

The toy's larger connector socket is approximately 5mm wide, making Sireen compatible with Powerlinx plugs.

This mold was also used to make Universe First Aid.

Micromaster Collection

In 2002, the entire Sixturbo team was re-released as part of the Micromaster Collection, in individual boxes with a number visible to show which mold was inside each box. For this release, all of the decals from the original version were replaced with paint applications, and given a few extra bits of deco. Notably, Sireen lost the more complicated "AMBULANCE" markings on his sides.

In every case of twelve Turbo Team Micromasters, two of them were solid-black-plastic "Reverse Evolution" Decepticon-allied variations; the Sicturbo pieces were also black, though in this case that's no change at all. All six Micromasters were available in this manner.
