Maximal High Council

The Maximal High Council is a ruling body in the Beast Era portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

In the days after the Great War, as decreed by the Pax Cybertronia, the esteemed members of the Maximal High Council rule Cybertron.

Its known members include:

The Maximal High Council were the ones that forbade Cybertronians from travelling into Earth's space. They also ignored Depth Charge's warnings that Optimus could not keep hold of Protoform X, something that did not make Depth Charge happy at all.

However, it was the Council of Elders that the Earth-stranded Maximals stated would send a rescue ship Deep Metal and generally the Elders are mentioned in terms of being the power on Cybertron. So the High Council isn't that high...

3H Universe comics

After the Great Reformatting of the planet following the conclusion of the Battle for the Sparks, the Maximal High Council returned to power. However, one year later, Optimus Primal returned from death to plead his case before them. He spoke of Unicron and Primus and annihilation and the abyss and the need to ready their armies to end the battle between Order and Chaos. The High Council was unimpressed with Primal's tirade and chastised him for throwing Primus' name around like so much cheap emotional currency. Primal was banished from their domain and confined to his quarters. Jerks! Homecoming

Trivia

• The early concept of the Maximal High Council was originally named High Council. High Council is the most powerful government body on the Planet Cybertron. Most of the members are famous Autobots and Decepticons during the Great War, including Optimus Prime. There are also few Maximals and Predacons as the members.
