Megatron X (BW)

Megatron X is a character from the Transformers Beast Wars: Transmetals portion of the Beast Era continuity family.

Know that I am Megatron X, and that the Nintendo 64 does not possess in-game graphics of this quality!

Who or what is Megatron X? Nobody knows. While he possesses the likeness of Megatron's Transmetal body, albeit with an additional pair of dragon wings, his relatinship to the Predacon Commander is unknown. All that is known is that his body is constructed entirely from crystalized energon and his battle capabilities are off the charts.

Unknown to Megatron, Megatron X is secretly his older brother, Rex, who ran away from home years ago!

• Regardless of what difficulty the game is set to up until the player's encounter with Megatron X, the difficulty level when battling with Megatron X is automatically set to "Very Hard".

• There is a way to play as Megatron X in the game, but not one that is really an option for North American home players. In the Japanese version of the game, Megatron X can be accessed by first unlocking Megatron's "Player 3" colorscheme in "Metals Mode" ("Arcade Mode" in the US game), and then... making sure Duel Fight Transformers Beast Wars: Beast Warriors' Strongest Decisive Battle is inserted into the Nintendo 64 Transfer Pak.
