It isn't a spoiler to say that Rodimus survived the cosmic rust attack and is recovering? What if a fan (who wasn't at TFcon2009) is waiting to see what happens to him? - Starfield 12:34, 28 April 2009 (EDT)

If it's something declared openly by a creator, then no, it's not a spoiler. —Interrobang 12:46, 28 April 2009 (EDT)

It's my fault, I asked him that question at TFcon just to put an end to people thinking HE IS DEAD. It's Rodimus Prime people, they won't nix him. Protoman 20:23, 7 May 2009 (EDT)

Now that it never happened, what do we do with it? - Starfield 19:05, 23 May 2009 (EDT)
He's in the lower right hand side of the crowd scene in Endgame, isn't he?--RosicrucianTalk 19:53, 23 May 2009 (EDT)
Sorta hard to say; given the amount of other coloring errors/generics in the picture its hard to know if its really supposed to be him or not. It does appear to be his model, though, and it's colored mostly right (the solid orange forearms throw it off)... Probably a case of mentioning that he "might have appeared". - Chris McFeely 19:58, 23 May 2009 (EDT)
It's hard to say if he is there, I feel like Derrick said that only to not break my heart cause he knows how I am with Rodimus characters :P I dunno. I can't really make out anything that is 100% him in the crowd. Maybe we will get an IDW book that will answer the mystery (as well as other loose ends due to Endgame Part 2)Protoman 20:59, 23 May 2009 (EDT)
If his forearm plating got rusted off, it would need to be replaced. Possibly with solid orange ones? - Starfield 13:22, 24 May 2009 (EDT)
The whole Wyatt Q and A is up now. If you want the "Rodimus is alive" part, jump to me asking it at 8:20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1oIlSbPMlG4 Also ignore any other parts with me, heh....... I was the liason for Wyatt's panel. Protoman 01:21, 2 September 2009 (EDT)

Prime

Could we get a citation for Rodimus being a Prime? I think it's behind a firewall. - Starfield 21:12, 23 May 2009 (EDT)

Uh, the credits of "TransWarped" and Hasbro Transformers Collectors' Club #24? —Interrobang 21:22, 23 May 2009 (EDT)
The credits of TransWarped just say "Rodimus", and the club mag isn't publicly available for all to cite. - SanityOrMadness 21:24, 23 May 2009 (EDT)
He's also the leader of his group of Autobots, which automatically makes him a Prime, since that's how rank works in Animated. --ItsWalky 21:49, 23 May 2009 (EDT)

Minor?

Wasn't he revealed at the Hasbro panel to be Rodimus Minor? --Vicious 17:51, 30 May 2009 (EDT)

Yes, although I'd prefer we wait till we see the actual toy to confirm. The article's name will not be affected, as he's "Rodimus Prime" in the club bio. —Interrobang 17:55, 30 May 2009 (EDT)
Of course, I suppose we do have to be open to the possibility Forrest Lee will take advantage of the blank slate the character represents and write a conflicting bio.--RosicrucianTalk 18:27, 30 May 2009 (EDT)
Didn't Forrest have some involvement with the club bio? —Interrobang 18:28, 30 May 2009 (EDT)
No, those bios were written by people on Animated's staff. --Detour 19:20, 30 May 2009 (EDT)
And some of 'em ended up being more than a little nonsensical in the long run. For example, Blackout's.--RosicrucianTalk 19:31, 30 May 2009 (EDT)
I don't see what we need to wait for. Everything else from botcon is official. - Starfield 19:18, 30 May 2009 (EDT)
SDCC '09 panel seems to be confirming that he's not a Prime and that this is intentional.--RosicrucianTalk 15:59, 23 July 2009 (EDT)
So if Rodimus is only named Prime in the club magazine and the toy names him Rodimus Minor, shouldn't Minor be his proper name then? 81.77.22.87 05:31, 27 July 2009 (EDT)
Especially since Forrest Lee, as predicted, is writing the bio differently to have Rodimus be the first non-Prime to head a crew.--RosicrucianTalk 11:00, 27 July 2009 (EDT)
Well, given that the rank structure goes Minor -> Prime -> Magnus, wouldn't the logical assumption be that the Rodimus Minor toy represents the character at an earlier point in his career? --Jimsorenson 12:02, 27 July 2009 (EDT)

"We know why he's Rodimus Minor. Trademark reasons." Am I missing something? Since when did trademark issues affect the name Rodimus Prime? -Mazenoise 16:33, 7 September 2009 (EDT)

I seriously doubt the toy is "Rodimus Minor" for trademark reasons. They must have wanted him to be "Rodimus Minor" for whatever reason. His bio may say more. Maybe because the meta-character has traditionally only been "Rodimus Prime" when leader of the Autobots. - Starfield 16:50, 7 September 2009 (EDT)
...they couldn't go with just Rodimus? It's not like that's a name like Jazz or Prowl that needs a prefix or a suffix to enforce the copyright... --Detour 16:51, 7 September 2009 (EDT)
Well, y'know, like Jimsorenson posted above, the rank structure in Animated means they probably wanted him to be "Rodimus Minor" so he's not a total rookie but not yet a Prime either. -Mazenoise 17:04, 7 September 2009 (EDT)
Hasbro tends to be very protective of the "Prime" title and doesn't want it spread too widely on characters who don't matter enough. Sentinel Prime and Vector Prime were prominent full-series characters, but Sentinel Maximus and Nexus Maximus turned out not to be. I could totally see them not wanting to Primify a character with like a Wave 8 toy who got 1 line of dialogue in his 3-minute show career. --Thylacine 2000 19:12, 9 September 2009 (EDT)

Chosen One?

Any idea where that line came from? I can't find anything about that blurb anywhere. Or is it just more of The Funny that I didn't get? 76.252.20.175 12:29, 31 May 2009 (EDT)

It's from his Club bio. --193.200.150.137 12:31, 31 May 2009 (EDT)

Seiyuu choice?

Is there any word yet on who, if anyone, has been tapped to voice Rodimus in the Japanese dub?

(I saw that Junichi Suwabe will apparently voice Sentinel - though considering a certain other character Suwabe-san is well known for voicing, I'd love to hear him double up as the Autobot archer's seiyuu, too...) --Nerroth 22:55, 20 March 2010 (EDT)
