==Movie Jolt vs Movie Jolt==
Sorry if the post about Jolt not being confused with the previously released Jolt wasn't a good one... Just thought it was sort of a unique case that should be addressed, what with there being two movie Jolts, and unlike the 2007 one which didn't appear in any movies and has since been changed to a different character, also not appearing in the movies, the new Jolt is in the movie. I know that's what disambiguation is for, but I just thought it was an interesting bit of trivia that a movie character's name was already used in the movieverse, though for a different character. (not including the whole movie Arcee thing) -Cliffjumper Prime

==Megatron joke==
The monsters in MMPR always started out human-sized.  Then, at some point, Rita throws her staff down from the Moon shouting "Make my monster grow!".  The staff lands in the ground and energy shoots out of it, making the monster enormous.  The laser effects around Megatron's cannon in that picture look a lot like the staff.  Here is a YouTube clip of it: [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUelB-OSneY].  Honestly, it's not a big deal to me, but the old joke doesn't really make any sense in the first place.  It seems to be a premature ejaculation joke to go along with his cannon firing, but it's not like there's anybody else in the picture for the innuendo to be complete.  I think the observation our anonymous editor made about the resemblance to the staff is actually pretty clever.  A rare instance of somebody changing a joke for the better, IMO.  --[[User:Steve-o|Steve-o]] 16:20, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
:Huzzah! I have a talk page now! Anyway, thanks for clearing it up... I didn't get the ressemblance of Bandora's staff to the laser blast effects of Megatron's cannons... At least I understood the previous joke, wasn't all that funny but it made sense without the explanation. -[[User:Detour|Detour]] 16:54, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

== Airazor caption ==

Hi.  I was wondering what was wrong with the old caption for the Airazor photo.
:Essentially, there's nothing wrong with the toy so criticizing it like that is pointless. --[[User:Detour|Detour]] 08:29, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
::Okay.  I didn't think the caption was meant as a criticism of the toy.  I thought it was meant to point out that though she was designed as a female figure, she didn't really turn out looking any more female than any other Transformer (excluding Arcee and Thunderblast).  But humor is subjective, and what I find somewhat funny might not seem funny at all to someone else.
:::Airazor was designed as a male figure. The toy/character only became female on the insistence of the show writers. --[[User:Monzo|Monzo]] 09:15, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
::::We're talking about the caption for the Transmetal figure.  I thought that one was designed from the start to be female.

He is known to be a member, which should be enough, but he is also known to appear again later in the season, both through the footage from Dubai and the teasers released on the blog. That's why I said that I believed that it ws exception enough  if he wasn't a member, it wouldn't need to be moved, but both together seem to be compelling enough.[[User:KrytenKoro|KrytenKoro]] 16:56, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
:Look at your talk page, anything Dubai-related ''should not'' be discussed here in any capacity. We are not gloryhounds like Seibertron trying to be the first ones to announce every single giant spoiler of every single piece of media. --[[User:Detour|Detour]] 19:49, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
::That's great, but that's not what I am trying to say. He was announced as a character a while ago, before Dubai, and on one of the creator blogs. He's known to be in the Elite Guard, and we even know who his American voice actor is. We've even had him make his first appearance. Dubai just confirmed an episode he reappears in. That's all I'm trying to say - that we know he's in the guard, and we have confirmation from various sources of a future appearance. Hell, that we've listed his voice actor should be confirmation enough.
::And I didn't make the edit to spread spoilers - I did it to add info to a wiki, when the info is confirmed. Yes, we should not be obsessed with news, but neither should we put blinders on and wait until info is months or years old. (Hyperbole, but you get my point)[[User:KrytenKoro|KrytenKoro]] 22:05, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

== Rabbicrater Edits ==

Just FYI, the edits HooperX made were capitalizing on the fact that Rabbicrater looks like his name contains the word "rabbi", when in fact it's meant to be most of the word "rabbit".  The caption gag of "L'chaim" thus becomes more obvious, though I like the current one better.  As for the miscellaneous trivia, I think it's an attempt at a callback to one of the final scenes from the Mel Brooks film ''History of the World, Part 1''.  So not TOTAL nonsense.--[[User:Apcog|Apcog]] 14:16, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
:Oh, well I don't know much about Judaism so "L'chaim" is kind of flying over my head right now (and I believe even if explained, the Yaoi Kiss Players joke will still be funnier)... And the misc trivia, well History Of The World Part 1 is one of the Mel Brooks films I have not yet had the pleasure of watching... Even then, it's kind of out of place in the same paragraph as the info about the rabbit on the moon... if Hooper wants to bring it back I would suggest he add another asterisk paragraph to point it out... --[[User:Detour|Detour]] 15:11, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
::Long story short, a robot with the word "Rabbi" in his name, even if it actually has to do with "rabbit" is ripe for Judaism gags.  "L'Chaim!" is a traditional exclamation of celebration.  Originally, I was just gonna put the lyrics to Hava Nagila up there, but hey.  The Kiss Players thing I had to stop and stare at - the two dudes humping are kind of cut out of the frame.  But hey, whatever.  [[User:Hooper X|-hx]] 15:15, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
:::FWIW, "L'chaim" is a traditional Hebrew version of "Cheers!" and literally means "To life!"  I'm up for ethnic humor as much as the <s>next</s> previous guy, but I still find the KP gag funnier in this case.  The thought of "Hava Negila" lyrics as a caption does make me grin, though...--[[User:Apcog|Apcog]] 16:05, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

== Ze little one ==

"The identity of ze little one is a bit on the fraught side. In the flyover shot of the barge on which the four Constructicons sit, a red bulldozer (Rampage), a concrete mixer (Mixmaster), a dump truck (Long Haul) and a yellow front-end loader are visible. The yellow front-end loader is the alternate mode of the Constructicon Scrapper, and ze little one's robot mode appears to be the same as Scrapper's. As such, the temptation to just consider this a Scrapper unit is great... except that, after the flyover shot, the yellow loader disappears, and is replaced with a yellow Volvo excavator, clearly marked with a large Decepticon insignia. For the purposes of reducing headaches, we're assuming that the excavator is the "correct" vehicle mode, and that it just happens to transform into a robot mode that resembles Scrapper...even though it's not him. "

I wasn't aware of the decision that had reached on the "Ze little one" page, so I didn't realize that this was the reasoning being used. I can agree with this, and I'm sorry the discussion got so hostile. Have a great week.[[User:KrytenKoro|KrytenKoro]] 00:30, 16 July 2009 (EDT)

==Deaths of Optimus Prime "fanon"==
That... wasn't fanon.  It was more awkwardly phrased, but consistent with how it was portrayed in the episode.  Aerialbots even say, to my recollection, that there are "others at the hanger."  Elita-1 was rebuilt.  Dion wasn't mentioned.  What part of that is fanon, and why did that give you the right to allcaps that dude into submission for it?  --[[User:ItsWalky|ItsWalky]] 00:17, 6 October 2009 (EDT)
:Well it explicitly said in the anon guy's contribution way back there that "Ariel and Dion were also rebuilt" (followed by an awkward parenthesis saying Ariel at least). Plus, the episode itself is awkwardly phrased... Slingshot says "There are others back at the hangar, his girlfriend Ariel" as though he actually meant to say "there's another one back at the hangar, his girlfriend Ariel". After Orion is rebuilt as Prime, there's no concern for any "others" and they only speak of Ariel, whom Alpha Trion says he'll "send droids out for". No mention at all that he'd rebuild other casualties of the hangar massacre. --[[User:Detour|Detour]] 00:32, 6 October 2009 (EDT)
::Another interpretation: Slingshot says "There are others back at the hangar, [for example] his girlfriend Ariel."  Otherwise, he's not being correct when he says there are "otherS" there.  Plural.  I'm not saying that Alpha Trion rebuilt anybody other than Prime and Elita, or that we have any evidence thereof.  I'm saying what the guy wrote, in that particular revision, was technically correct.  --[[User:ItsWalky|ItsWalky]] 01:50, 6 October 2009 (EDT)

The article discusses fanfiction, so I named two common pairings as an example. It seemed relevant. [[User:CH|CH]] 16:25, 8 February 2010 (EST)
:Because the fandom is so large, fragmented and clique-esque that there's really no way to measure what's relevant/common unless it's completely widespread, as in to the point that even average fans that don't read fanfic are familiar with the concepts used. Megatron/Starscream pairings probably predate Beast Wars itself, Starscream/Alexis was a freakin' epidemic for a time. Those are somewhat "worthy" of mention (in a squicky infamous way). Prime/Mikaela and Bumblebee/Sam, however? Although I'm not shocked they exist, I don't believe the average fans would know for certain that they do. And it isn't really quite as notable (again, Starscream/Alexis being an epidemic), no more than hypothetical pairings like Cheetor/Una or Sky-Byte/Koji.. --[[User:Detour|Detour]] 16:37, 8 February 2010 (EST)

::IIRC, you're one of the folks using IE6, aren't you? That would explain that part, if so. As for Firefox, it works fine on Firefox for me, so I just don't know what you're talking about there. (I also checked IE7 and it works fine there as well...)
::But in any case, bring it up with Derik to fix any problems rather than constantly removing it, considering the whole reason the template exists to begin with is to solve an issue folks used to be griping about. About the only issue I've ever had is that there has to be no line return space between the dash template and the following header, but that's easily tweaked while editing. --[[User:Jeysie|Jeysie]] 21:38, 27 February 2010 (EST)
:::Yeah, I'm one of the five people on Earth still using IE6. I like the button layout better, sue me. But I do have Firefox 3.5.6 and <nowiki>{{--}}</nowiki> does the same amount of jack squattage. --[[User:Detour|Detour]] 22:04, 27 February 2010 (EST)
::::You do realize button layouts are easily changed in most browsers, yes? (And I'd think lots of broken sites with missing features would be a bigger annoyance... having to surf using IE6 at one of my jobs last year was downright painful, it's missing so many useful standards.)
::::But, like I said, never had issues with FF at all. And even if there are, again, have Derik tweak the CSS, rather than unfixing the formatting fixes. --[[User:Jeysie|Jeysie]] 22:13, 27 February 2010 (EST)

== *sigh* "first edit ever" ==

fact is I've been editing over the years and adding useful tid bits here and there, but the wiki just can't seem to hold a proper account. so I start a new and get treated like a punk. gratitude for ya.

And yeah, the tone really isn't to my liking. Derek J Wyatt puts down Beachcomber and everyone treats it as canon that the character is not well liked. well I like him! And think the article should  be more even handed.

So tell me, how am I supposed to get started here? I can't edit "the funny" as I've been told the last time I tried a permanent account, I can't help to rewrite an article, what do you want from me? When to I earn the right to call out the Beach Comber page for being offensive? --[[User:Stly92|Stly92]] 01:15, March 18, 2010 (EST)
