Why's this up for deletion? This isn't fanon; I'm fairly certain I remember these guys in the movie. - In the novel there are three different kinds of little robots.
- A "pack of insectlike robots" - these have wings and fly around. They dropped the worm.
- One that "looked like a worm". This one violated Sam's mouth.
- Two "menacing little machines" that held open Sam's mouth while the worm entered.
