Specifics: Toys, fictional appearances
The name or term "Demolishor" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Demolishor (disambiguation).
Demolishor is a Decepticon from the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.
They were delicious.

Demolishor is a military expert who serves Megatron through the Unicron Battles. He is a very trusted but sometimes very dim soldier who holds very true-to-spark values concerning loyalty and devotion to the Decepticon cause. These values sometimes collide with Megatron's ultimately selfish goals, and Demolishor finds himself struggling to reconcile the two.

Ultimately, though, Demolishor never abandons his devotion to the Decepticons as a whole, even if his faith in their leader is shattered.

His Mini-Con partner is Blackout.

Japanese name: Ironhide, Irontread (dump truck body)

You don't wanna know what's going on below.

Demolishor served as Megatron's right-hand military expert until the arrival of Thrust, although he often competed with Starscream for the title. He was often dense and simple-minded, but very devoted to his cause. Perhaps the most thoughtful action of Demolishor's during this time was to tear through a door Megatron had sealed in order to stop Megatron from destroying Starscream, whom Demolishor valued as a Decepticon ally. Demolishor was seriously damaged by Nemesis Prime, only to be reformatted into a red/white color scheme via Powerlinx energy. He would go on to serve in the United Armada against Unicron.

I want to tell you about the Transformers!

And so Demolishor became the king of England.

Following the end of the Unicron Battles, Megatron's death saw the alliance between the Decepticons and Autobots persist. With the establishment of Cybertron Cities to mine energon on Earth, Demolishor was assigned to Ocean City, where he guarded the city's main gate. Despite his frequent complaints and arguments with the humans and Autobots who lived in the city, Demolishor developed something of a friendship with his new allies and grew into his role. Of particular note was his bickering relationship with the inexperienced Ironhide, who didn't trust him for being a Decepticon, and whom he ridiculed in return for being a greenhorn. Cybertron City

In the year 2020, when the alien being Alpha Quintesson created the Terrorcons to steal energon for him, he armed their leader, Scorponok, with a sword forged from Megatron's spark. During a battle at Plains City, the sword was knocked aside and landed in the ground in front of Demolishor, but he could not bring himself to take hold of the weapon. The chance to return to his Decepticon nature versus his new role amongst the Autobots left him conflicted, unsure of what he truly wanted in life. Megatron's Sword

Demolishor's dilemma continued when Megatron returned to life and laid siege to Ocean City. Megatron Resurrected When Megatron appeared before him, Demolishor trained his guns on him, struggling to make a decision as Megatron continually taunted him. Eventually, Demolishor caved in and rejoined the Decepticons, departing with Megatron for his headquarters within the inactive corpse of Unicron. Despite having made this decision, Demolishor's experiences had left him a changed 'bot, and he would be heard to caution Megatron on the frailties of humans. Megatron Raid

Not longer thereafter, Demolishor participated in a Decepticon attack on the Autobot ship the Miranda II, which activated its personal energon grid defense system during the battle. Megatron was caught directly in the path of the grid, galvanizing Demolishor into making a final, fateful decision: He pushed his leader out of the way and took the force of the grid's blast himself. Oddly, Demolishor blamed Optimus for what happened to him and exploded. Nobody seemed to mourn the loss. (They do in the Japanese version, but this was altered in the English dub.) Go for Unicron!

Demolishor's body was destroyed, but his spark was salvaged by Megatron, who implanted it within a new body. Megatron used his Unicron-derived powers to wipe Demolishor's memory, removing any trace of his conflicted nature and degenerating him into a simple-minded, ape-like creature, easily excited and prone to grunting and jumping around. The Return of Demolishor Demolishor retained his friendship with Cyclonus, now Snow Cat, to whose level of intelligence he was now much closer. There was occasional cuddling. In the end, Demolishor, along with Snow Cat, did not follow Megatron into the sun. The Sun

Cybertron (toy bio)

Somehow magically back in his original body (no word on whether his mentality recovered as well), Demolishor was left behind on Cybertron during the planetary evacuation, but has kept himself busy by fighting off the Scrapmetal horde. Demolishor has heard rumors that Megatron has once again returned from the dead, but hopes it is not true, as he enjoys not being pushed around by his commander for once.

Dreamwave comic continuity

Dreamwave Armada comic

Demolishor was part of Megatron's initial strike force on Cybertron, and devastated Mini-Con Village C52 alongside Cyclonus. Dreamwave Armada issue 1 Powered by Blackout, he also participated in the assault on and devastation of Cyber City. Dreamwave Armada issue 2

Millions of years later, when a Mini-Con signal was broadcast from Earth, the Decepticons picked it up and quickly made plans to travel to Earth. Dreamwave Armada issue 3 Upon arrival, Demolishor, Cyclonus and Starscream broke into a human military base, where Demolishor scanned a tank for his new alternate mode (though the resulting tank mode wasn't particularly close to the source). Dreamwave Armada issue 4 While the other Decepticons began fighting the Autobots who had followed them to Earth, Demolishor ambushed the Street Action Mini-Con Team, Sparkplug and three human kids. He captured the Mini-Cons and expressed interest in taking the humans apart to see where all their courage came from. Then four other Mini-Cons swarmed his face and shattered his targeting reticle "eyepatch". Dreamwave Armada issue 5

After the Decepticons successfully captured the Air Defense Mini-Con Team, Demolishor helped bring them back to the Decepticon base at Silver Ridge. Dreamwave Armada issue 6 He later participated in the attack on the Autobot base, but didn't do much other than stand around and take offense to Starscream's claims that Megatron didn't need any underlings when he had the Star Saber. Dreamwave Armada issue 7 When the Decepticons' Mini-Cons escaped, Demolishor and the others pursued them to Kansas, where they fired impotently on a large object that was stealing all of Earth's Mini-Cons. They were then distracted by the arrival of several Autobots, and could only watch as the object rocketed off into space. Dreamwave Armada issue 8 After figuring out that the Mini-Cons had ended up on the Moon, the Decepticons chased after their precious power-ups. As Demolishor was the only Decepticon incapable of flight (Megatron got temporary rocket thrusters), he was left behind to guard the base. Dreamwave Armada issue 9 He wasn't very good at it, though, and was beaten up by Autobots who wanted to use the Decepticons' space bridge. Dreamwave Armada issue 10

When said space bridge stopped working some time later, Megatron ordered Demolishor and Starscream to fix it. Neither of them knew how. Worlds Collide, Part 1 of 4 The Decepticons later learned that Optimus Prime had gone missing, and they seized the opportunity to perform an all-out assault on the Autobots. Demolishor found himself facing down Scavenger and Smokescreen on a thin mountain road, and decided to play a game of chicken with them. He won, as both Autobots swerved away and fell off the road, where Smokescreen was seriously injured by Megatron. Shortly afterwards, their winning streak was interrupted by a mysterious powerful Transformer who knocked out Demolishor, Cyclonus and Starscream in short order. Worlds Collide, Part 2 of 4 As it turned out, the stranger had been a Herald of Unicron, who was on his way to destroy Cybertron. The Decepticons were forced to ally themselves with the Autobots and return to their home planet in order to fight him off. Demolishor survived the battle with Unicron and was seen among the crowds of cheering Transformers in the aftermath. The End

Energon comic

Ten years after the battle with Unicron, his Four Horsemen attacked Cybertron. Demolishor was among the Transformers called in as reinforcements against this new threat. What Lies Beneath, Part Two Some time later, he was stationed at the energon ore processing plant Deltos-Five when its systems started going haywire. Grumbling that Thrust had left him to deal with technical difficulties while he got to have fun fighting Terrorcons on Earth, Demolishor made his way into the facility, where he was ambushed by what appeared to be the ghost of Starscream. Multiplicity, Pt. 3

Due to Dreamwave's subsequent bankruptcy, it was never revealed what Starscream did to Demolishor. According to solicitations for several unreleased Energon issues, he was to return in an all-new and upgraded form in Energon #32.

Panini Armada comic

Demolishor was among the Decepticons who had a great time kidnapping Mini-Cons back when the war broke out. Counter-Strike!

In modern day, he was sent to Earth to search for escaped Mini-Cons alongside Cyclonus and Starscream. Demolishor was apparently still searching elsewhere when the rest of the Decepticons were beaten up by the Autobots and fled. Friends and Foes! Eventually, he sawed his way into the wreckage of the Mini-Cons' ship, as he had orders from Megatron to retrieve its locator log. He was surprised to find the Street Action Team in the ship, and wasn't sure what to do with the situation. Deciding that the best course of action was violence, he began blasting the Mini-Cons but was distracted when Rad White grabbed the locator log and ran for it. Demolishor followed in his tank mode, only to drive straight into an unstable part of the cave, where the vibrations from his treads caused the hidden log to explode and collapse the cave on top of him. Deep Trouble!

Some time later, Demolishor participated in an attack on the Autobots when they were trying to send their Mini-Cons back to Cybertron. No Way Back! He and Cyclonus were then sent to search for Mini-Cons on the Moon. The Autobots Smokescreen and Scavenger followed them, but were no match for the Mini-Con-augmented Decepticons. Demolishor shot Smokescreen down and prepared to squash him under his tracks, but didn't expect the Autobot to suddenly get a Mini-Con partner of his own. Powered by Liftor, Smokescreen delivered a powerful punch to the incoming Demolishor, driving him back. Between Two Worlds!

When the Decepticons planned to nuke the Autobots from their new lunar base, Demolishor caught a transmission from the Autobots' Mini-Cons, who offered to surrender in exchange for the Autobots' lives. He reported this to Megatron, who opted to take the Mini-Cons then blow the Autobots up anyway. Earthshaker! The plan was a huge failure, ending with the destruction of the Decepticon base and no Mini-Cons to show for it. Demolishor cheerfully referred to the whole thing as a "bit of a blip in the old world-conquest plans", which promptly got him punished by the disgruntled Megatron. Suddenly, Cyclonus showed up and started attacking his fellow Decepticons. He turned out to be possessed by the Destruction Mini-Con Team, who were using him to get rid of Megatron once and for all. After watching the two duel for a while, Demolishor power-linked with Blackout and entered the fray, but did little damage to Cyclonus. Dawn of Destruction!

TransTech

Demolishor is part of Gutcruncher's inner circle in the underlevels of Axiom Nexus. He was with Gutcruncher in The Blue Deployer the night the Action Master took Hubcap for a lot of money. Gone Too Far

Demolishor is not explicitly named in the story, but the description matches.

Toys

Armada

File:Armada Demolishor toy.jpg
Best Decepticon yes-man toy, ever!
  • Demolishor w/ Blackout (Deluxe, 2002/2003)
    • Japanese ID number: MD-03
    • Accessories: 4 missiles
Demolishor transforms into an anti-aircraft missile tank of made-up model. In vehicle mode, he has extra Mini-Con compatibility; there is a seat behind his turret so he can be piloted, plus the space between his treads features a clip/launcher mechanism for his partner Blackout in vehicle mode. Attaching a Mini-Con to his left shoulder's Powerlinx plug in either mode pushes his twin-missile launcher mechanism forward and allows his spring-loaded missiles to be fired.
The Japanese release of Demolishor uses a different shade of tan, plus paints his face brown rather than black, among other smaller paint application changes.

  • Ironhide w/ Search and Land Military Microns (Multi-pack, 2003)
    • Japanese ID number: MS-03
    • Accessories: 4 missiles
In Japan, Demolishor was available both separately and in a multi-pack with the Land Military Mini-Con Team. All toys in the set are identical to their individual releases.

  • Demolishor (Happy Meal toy, 2003)
An extremely simplified version of the original Demolishor toy, he features a "battle damage" pop-off arm. He can combine with the other Happy Meal Decepticons to form a super vehicle. Kinda.

  • Demolishor (Built to Rule, 2003)
    • Accessories: 2 missiles
One of the smaller Built to Rule sets, Demolishor's vehicle mode is still an anti-aircraft missile tank, but with only one firing rocket per side, activated by a pressure-launch mechanism using a rotating "drum". He also features working rubber treads. He comes with a building-block version of Blackout.

  • Powerlinx Demolishor w/ Powerlinx Blackout (Deluxe, 2003)
    • Japanese ID number: MD-10
    • Accessories: 4 missiles
A late-series redeco of the original Demolishor in red and off-white. Part of the final wave of the Stateside Armada product, Demolishor's coloration was finalized after cardback photography was needed, so the card depicts a normal-colored Demolishor.
This toy was repurposed for Shattered Glass Demolishor.

WUBBA WUBBA WUBBA.
  • Night Attack Demolishor (Built to Rule, 2003)
    • Accessories: 2 missiles
Part of the final wave of Armada Built to Rule, the first Demolishor set was redecoed into colors very close to those of the Night Attack Mini-Con Team. Again, he comes with a similarly colored version of Blackout.
Night Attack Demolishor did not ship very prominently, but eventually could be found at Toys "R" Us stores for the heavily discounted price of $2 or so.

Energon

  • Demolishor w/ Blackout (Deluxe, 2004)
    • Japanese ID number: SD-02
    • Accessories: 4 missiles
Originally released as part of the regular Takara Super Link series, the original Demolishor toy was given a new color scheme of lime green and purple. This version was later released in the US late in the Energon line as a KB Toys stores exclusive alongside the Super Link redeco of Cyclonus.

MUNKY IS TRUKK
  • Demolishor (Deluxe, 2004)
    • Japanese ID number: SD-11
    • Accessories: 4 missiles
Demolishor's new body transforms into a large "earth-mover" dump truck. His truck bed contains four spring-loaded missiles, plus four "false", non-firing missiles. His center torso block can rotate forward to bring his launcher over his body for "Hyper Mode"... which puts his head right in the middle of his sternum. His truck bed also feature two pairs of "dead" Powerlinx plugs to attach Mini-Cons to, one pair on each side of the "flap", allowing for Mini-Con Powerlinxing in both truck and robot modes. According to Hasbro in a Q&A, he was supposed to be a new character named Long Haul.

Good luck finding me.
  • Demolishor (Happy Meal, 2004)
Available only in some Latin America markets, one of the two Energon McDonald's Happy Meal promos (neither of which were done in the US!) featured a heavily-simplified version of dump-truck Demolishor with a spring-loaded transformation to robot mode.

Cybertron

File:Cybertron-toy Demolishor.JPG
"I'm not Roadbuster!"
  • Demolishor (Deluxe-Class, 2006)
    • Accessories: 4 missiles, Cyber Planet Key
A late addition to the line, the original tank mold was redecoed in a more military camo scheme. He does not come with his Mini-Con partner Blackout in this release; instead, he has a new-mold Cybertron-style Cyber Planet Key, without a molded faction sigil, plus a Mini-Con-style Powerlinx socket on the back so it can be used to activate his missile launcher. The key has a painted Decepticon sigil, a purple border, and the Key Code "dt67" printed on the back.

Attacktix

But our story isn't really about him...
  • Demolishor (2006)
    • Attack Type: Shooter (wide missile)
Shown at Toy Fair 2006, Attacktix Demolishor is based on his Energon dump-truck body, with a back-mounted missile launcher that shot a wide-headed missile. He was placed in an early mock-up of the starter set, but ultimately only the vehicle-mode Skyblast piece would end up in the final product. The piece had no sticker on the front as well. And then... that was the last anyone saw of this piece. It was never shuffled into a later assortment or even mentioned anywhere. What the hell?
Your bargaining posture is highly dubious.

Notes

  • Reportedly, both of the original Demolishor toy's shoulders were to contain spring-loaded missile launchers, but one was removed for cost considerations.
  • Powerlinx Demolishor was originally intended to be Sixshot-inspired, according to Aaron Archer, because Demolishor's gun-hands reminded him of Sixshot. (No, we don't get it, either.) However, the red color scheme got decided on by We've and implemented first.

  • Demolishor was originally planned to be in the Armada Playstation 2 game as a long-running boss fight in the Antarctic. According to the original storyboards (unlocked in the game by finding the appropriate Data-Con on the Pacific Island base), he was the pilot of the crashed starship (instead of Starscream), and the player would have first fought him inside the control room of the ship. Megatron was then to fire on the ship when Demolishor was near defeat, which would cause the ship to crash into the chasm below. Why Demolishor was removed from the game is unknown, though the most likely explanation is time and budget concerns.
  • Cybertron Demolishor's Key Code as printed on the key doesn't work properly, giving the information for the Deluxe-Class Optimus Prime. However, the Code "D56B" gives Demolishor's information.
  • According to the Armada IP Creative Bible, one of his production names was Scourge.
