Nicholas Fury

Colonel Nicholas Fury is a human from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Some day we may learn more about this mysterious eyepatch-wearing man.

Nicholas works for America's super-spy organization S.H.I.E.L.D. with his pal Dum Dum. He smokes cigars and wears an eyepatch.

When the Transformers caused their first ruckus upon waking up in 1984, Nicholas hoped it wasn't "that big green, fire-snortin' lizard" again. Prisoner of War!

It doesn't appear that the two ever actually looked into what was going on in Oregon at all. Or if they did, they sure didn't do anything about it.

• Transformers Animated: The AllSpark Almanac Volume 2 featured a crossword clue "Big green, fire-snortin' lizard that menaces Col Fury", filling out the rest of Nicolas' name and rank.
  • The answer to the clue was "Godzilla".
