I know this is still sandboxed, but you might want to talk about the issues with vac-metalized plastic, most notably the "Purple Transmetal Optimus" thing that went on for a while (there were some G2 Seasprays that had this look too; for whatever reason, the blue vac-metal ended up looking very very purple) and had people acting like it was a real variant as opposed to simply being an issue with the tint mixtures or whatever.
