Make The Change was a contest that took place at Toyland stores, during the year of 1999. Its goal was to promote the newly released Animorphs toyline and the Transmetal 2 subline of Beast Wars toyline. Sponsorship for the contest was provided by Fox Kids, Hasbro, Nickelodeon and Scholastic. The contest was also manufactured as a means to advertise both the Beast Wars and Animorphs television series that were airing at the time.
The competition itself involved racing another contestant, to see who could transform a Transformers toy most quickly.
Awards
- Participants were awarded a certificate that asserted that they indeed succesfully changed a Transformers figure at the "Make the Change" event, featuring art of Stinkbomb and Jake (pictured above). You know, for bragging rights.
- Participants were also given a rub-on tattoo of a stylized "T" in the same font that the word "Transformers" is spelled out in for the Beast Machines logo.
