Unite for the Universe

After the self-sacrifice of Jetfire to provide strength to Optimus Prime to battle The Fallen proved beneficial, Project: Unite was started so that Optimus Prime could maintain this combined state. The project headquarters was at the N.E.S.T. Advanced Research Facility in the Hida Mountains.

Megatron, unknowing of the true details of Project: Unite, sent Bludgeon to the Research Facility to infiltrate and steal the results of the project. Starscream, disliking that Bludgeon was getting in Megatron's good graces, sabotaged Bludgeon's mission and went to pilfer Project: Unite for himself, only to be met with the results of the project—Optimus Prime himself! Both realizing their misconception of the project, Starscream and Bludgeon were forced into retreat.

Starscream was not done with the project, though, and planned on a Decepticon imitation of the Project. To this end, Starscream hired Skystalker and Ravage to aid in his plans. Skystalker took the discarded Decepticon corpses lying around at the N.E.S.T. N.B.E. Resource Redistribution Plant while Ravage planted a nano-virus at the N.E.S.T. Divisional Headquarters to infect NEST's computer systems and collect information on Project: Unite. Both were successful at their tasks, leading to a delighted Starscream. Unite for the Universe
