Having used the Omega Whip to destroy a human city, Megatron demanded that the humans surrender their planet. Hound, Jenny and Toru managed to find the Decepticon base housing the weapon, but the trio was promptly captured by Starscream.
When Superion tried to prevent Menasor from subsequently attacking a power plant, Megatron ordered the Omega Whip used against the Autobot combiner.
