When he's not shooting through Decepticon body armor with his Ion blaster, slicing off heads with his battle blades, or ripping their heads apart with his Energon Hooks, Optimus Prime will use his barrage cannon against his opponents. With a range of up to sixty miles, the laser-sighted barrage cannon fires plutonium tipped warheads at a rate of 6 warheads per second, with each warhead carrying the equivalent of 3,000 lbs of TNT.[1]
Remember that, people: Optimus Prime is carrying nukuler nuclear weapons to keep humanity safe from the Decepticons.

Toys
Transformers (2007)

Voyager Class toys
- Optimus Prime (Voyager Class, 2007)
- Robo-Vision Optimus Prime (Voyager, 2007)
- Bumblebee and Optimus Prime (Argos exclusive two-pack, UK 2007)
- Battle damage three-pack (Sam's Club exclusive three-pack, 2007)
- First Strike Optimus Prime (Voyager Class, 2008)
- Freeway Brawl Optimus Prime (Two-Pack) ("Screen Battles" Voyager, 2008)
- Despite being introduced in Revenge of the Fallen, all versions of this mold already carried two cannons, which resembled barrage cannons.

Revenge of the Fallen
Voyager Class toys
- Optimus Prime (Voyager, 2009)
- Defender Optimus Prime (Voyager, 2010)
- Jet Power Optimus Prime (Voyager, Canceled)
- As redecos of the 2007 molds, these versions also carried the barrage cannons.
Transformers (2010)

Voyager Class toys
- Battle Blades Optimus Prime (Voyager, 2010)
- This new mold of Voyager Class carried a totally new, more movie accurate version of the barrage cannons.
Notes
- At the firing rate of 6 shots per second, range of 60 miles and the explosive equivalent of 1.36 tons of TNT per shell, Prime doesn't need any other weapons. This is a drastic change from the typically absurdly low statistics given by the Transformers Movie Guide, instead it has numbers that could give Warhammer 40,000 a run for it's money in over the top weaponry.
