Synopsis

North of Gimje, South Korea, Megatron angrily faced down his rogue lieutenant Starscream, threatening severe punishment for disobeying his orders. Starscream merely laughed and boasted that his Project: Unite abilities made him more powerful than everybody on the battlefield. The Autobots initially stood by and watched, but Optimus Prime ordered an intervention, as Megatron could not be allowed to obtain the secrets of Unite technology. The Autobots needed to hold Megatron until Ratchet could arrive with a "fix" for the situation.

The Autobots attacked Starscream while Optimus handled Megatron. Megatron, angry at the interference, summoned Decepticon troops of his own, and the entire battle became a frenzied battle royal. Fortunately, Ratchet arrived with his "fix": a gun that forcibly removes and destroys Unite technology. He used it on Starscream, who fainted, and Megatron retreated, realizing the cause was lost. Optimus Prime solemnly observed that the Autobots' quest for stronger weapons nearly doomed Earth, and resolved that fortitude and valor should be their only shield and sword.

Notes

  • This comic, along with the past four chapters, was printed in the pages of Transformers Generations 2011 Vol. 1. Presumably, it would have come packaged with a "Unite for the Universe" toy.
  • The NEST transport plane carrying Ratchet in this comic is drawn to look like Stratosphere, but lacks his distinct colour scheme and is never identified as being the Autobot.
