Darkside Megatron (ダークサイドメガトロン Dākusaido Megatoron) is the insanity-indicating shadow of Megatron granted its own existence. How such an occurrence came about is unknown.

Part of a United multipack with Darkside Optimus Prime, Darkside Megatron is a dark-themed redeco of the War for Cybertron Megatron toy, transforming into a Cybertronian self-propelled gun. The treads of his vehicle can be positioned in either a vertical configuration like a traditional tank or in a horizontal, hovertank configuration. Megatron's spring-loaded cannon can attach to either arm.

The mold was also used for United Megatron.
