| This article is about the heroic Decepticon. For his evil second-in-command counterpart, see Cyclonus (G1). For a list of other meanings, see Cyclonus (disambiguation). |
- Cyclonus is a heroic Decepticon from the "Shattered Glass" continuity family.

Cyclonus has loyalty issues, and that's just putting it mildly. Generally, the more involved he becomes with the organization, the less he seems to like being affiliated with it. He only joined up with the Decepticons in the first place because he liked the Autobots' ways of doing things even less, especially where his hated nemesis Ultra Magnus was involved.
This trait of disloyalty makes him vulnerable to creative manipulation, something that Alpha Trion used to his advantage by staging "accidents" and "calamities" in order to dupe the otherwise disaffected warrior into following the "savior of all Cybertron".
His Targetmaster partner Krunix, however, is less certain that Alpha Trion's goals will actually be beneficial to Cybertron, which sometimes hampers Cyclonus's effectiveness in battle. He is colored like The Speedy Bot
Fiction
Shattered Glass

Cyclonus acted as a transport for Scrapper and Long Haul when they retrieved Cliffjumper from the Rad Zone. He later partook in the strategic meeting to determine how to assault Prime's Ark to prevent its launch, but didn't say much. Cliffjumper's tale of Primus seemed to bring a smile to his face, though. Shattered Glass
When Aquarius, Breakaway, Landquake, and Topspin arrived at the Decepticon base, explained their situation, and asked to speak with Heatwave, Megatron had Cyclonus go and fetch him. After he arrived back with Heatwave, Cyclonus then sent a message over his comm link to an unknown recipient saying that "It [was] time", and proceeded to fire his arm-plugged Targetmaster weapon at Megatron "for the glory of Alpha Trion!" Reunification: Part 4
Cyclonus was then led away—still shouting praise for Alpha Trion—by Decepticon guards before Heatwave could make good on his threat to "crush the life out of" the traitor in retaliation. Reunification: Part 5 Cyclonus ended up spending time in a Decepticon holding cell after that. The Coming Storm: Part 1

Timelines

- Shattered Glass Cyclonus (Deluxe Class, 2010)
- Timelines Cyclonus, the second Transformers Collectors' Club exclusive for 2010, is a redeco of Universe Cyclonus, transforming into a Cybertronic starfighter. His jet mode has a 5mm hole to mount his pack-in partner Krunix in gun mode. In robot mode, Cyclonus can hold Krunix in his right hand, or plug him into his wrist socket (with the hand flipped 180 degrees back into the cuff) to emulate the Targetmaster connection style as seen in the Japanese Headmasters cartoon.
- The mold was also used to make Gentei! Strafe and a cartoon-accurate version of Universe Cyclonus from the Animation-Comic-Game Hong Kong Fair-exclusive "Challenge at Cybertron" set.
Notes

- Cyclonus's coloration appears to be based on another prominent character first introduced in the 1986 movie: Rodimus Prime. His orange wings even mimic Rodimus's own V-spoiler in robot mode.
- In between his "Shattered Glass" and "Reunification" appearances, Cyclonus suddenly looks a lot more like the Universe toy.
